Variety has earned its third Daytime Emmy nomination for the “Actors on Actors” series, with the first coming in 2019.
The PBS SoCal series pairs up actors for candid discussions about their recent work and thoughts on the entertainment industry. On Friday, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced the nominees for the 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards, and The Hollywood Reporter earned two nominations.
Off Script With The Hollywood Reporter — the magazine’s iconic roundtable series, which aired on SundanceTV — earned a nom for best arts and popular culture program. The segment, moderated by Mesfin Fekadu and hosted by Yvonne Orji, was nominated alongside Billion Dollar Babies: The True Story of the Cabbage Patch Kids (Vimeo), King of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch (Netflix), Oprah and “The Color Purple” Journey (Max), Variety Studio: Actors on Actors (PBS) and Working in the Theatre (AmericanTheatreWing.org).

Nominees have been announced for The 50th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards recognizing the best in daytime drama, lifestyle programs, and culinary series, among other categories. The winners of the 2023 Daytime Emmys will be revealed during a live broadcast on Friday, June 16th, airing on CBS. The ceremony will also stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
“Today we not only honor this year’s outstanding programs and individuals, we mark a milestone in television history. National Endowment for the Arts Chairman Jane Chu has approved more than 82 million to fund local arts projects across the country in Nea's second major funding announcement for fiscal year 2017. Included in this announcement are two Art Works awards to the American Theatre Wing 35,000 to fund SpringboardNYC and the Theatre Intern Network through the Nea's Theater and Musical Theater discipline, and 25,000 for production of the 'Working in the Theatre' docuseries through the Nea's Media Arts discipline.
