I somewhat agree with the other review. I think it's odd that she didn't find a way to help Lloyd when they knew the mom was poisoning him. I understand she has tremendous fear of the mom , I get she's the youngest, and not being in her shoes, I'm sure we're downplaying it. But she kept insisting they had no phone, no outside life. School then home, that's it.
But it seemed to unravel at the end with random tidbits. Like they tried to make it look like she was in so much danger when the mom was apprehended. Mom was released. Oh no.
But one thing bugged me. This lady says she got released to her boyfriends house. That's a big red flag in this whole story. I didn't think kids locked in there house could date , especially when mom is worried the kids could spill the secret. It'd be nice if maybe I'm missing something and they explained that better?
Also where was the brother in the end ?
Anyhow just the fact she got a panic attack from leaving her soda by her imprisioned mother shows the level of fear this mother instilled so that kinda explains some things. . I'm glad she has moved on and is making a big difference helping seniors.
