As someone who is obsessed with Ufos (or more recently known as UAPs) and the concept of extraterrestrials, I love a good documentary. Sightings have been on the rise since the 1940s, with the atomic bomb seemingly acting as a catalyst for new visitors. But what are these UFOs/UAPs? Is there an explanation or are they simply beyond our explanation? Why are they here? Who are they? How much do our governments know? The questions are endless and so are the documentaries that attempt to uncover the secrets behind decades of sightings and alleged confrontations.

In the world of film, you will have icons that appear with a few manufactured into something better than they are. The Net and the Hollywood star system of the past do that today with some questionable ability and content on both sides of the camera being hailed as something special. The icons of the horror genre rise to the top like Boris Karloff, Vincent Price, Bela Lugosi, Christopher Lee, and Peter Cushing. Their names are often above titles of films even reduced to the use of the surname as in Karloff and Lugosi without losing box office appeal. Entering this realm is the feature documentary of actor Robert Englund simply called Hollywood Dreams & Nightmares: The Robert Englund Story.
I honestly was not a huge Freddy fan towards the end of the A Nightmare On Elm Street series of films because for me the stories became set pieces for effects.

RoboDoc: The Creation of RoboCop is everything fans want it to be and this in-depth look at ‘The Future of Law Enforcement’ is incredible.
The 1987 classic from little known director at the time, Paul Verhoeven, is far more than a bloody sci-fi flick with great action scenes. Its political commentary, satire and damnation of corporate America at the time is ingenious.
This new documentary from the team behind Pennywise: The Story of It and recently Hollywood Dreams & Nightmares: The Robert Englund Story gives a comprehensive insight into RoboCop, its sequels as well as the TV series.
We sit down with co-directors Eastwood Allen & Chris Griffiths and producer Gary Smart to talk about the mammoth task of making this documentary and more.

Peter Weller is ready for RoboDoc: The Creation of RoboCop.

August has been a significant month for Screambox, which celebrated the anniversary of Tobe Hooper’s original The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, took a look back at the classic 1985 Clue in Who Done It: The Clue Documentary, got creature feature crazy with the sci-fi horror Subject, and had a blast with the Ghostbusters-inspired sci-fi horror comedy The Ghastly Brothers.
In addition to the extremely controversial The Woman hitting the streaming service earlier this week, Screambox has now added a trio of classics, including David Blyth’s 1992 My Grandpa Is a Vampire, which stars Al Lewis as a frail old man by day and fanged flyer of the undead at night. But when his visiting grandson discovers Vernon’s dark secret, can they team up to take down a stake-making slimeball?
Also added to the service is Grzegorz Warchol’s 1986 I Like Bats, which combines absurdist black comedy with jolts of...

Back in 2012, Bloody Disgusting acquired Lucky McKee’s critically acclaimed The Woman after a firestorm of controversy that began at the Sundance Film Festival with a woman allegedly passing out in shock and this man losing his cool over the startling and uncomfortable content.

Now, the film is coming back to us via Arrow Films and is now streaming on our very own Screambox alongside the film’s prequel, Offspring, both featuring a standout performance by Pollyanna McIntosh.

The iconic franchise star, who has portrayed Freddy Kreuger across eight films since 1984, revealed that “Freddy vs. Jason” was the last stand for his take on the character.
“I kind of knew after 2004 that I wasn’t up to playing Freddy again,” Englund told Insider while promoting documentary “Hollywood Dreams & Nightmares: The Robert Englund Story,” adding, “I was in my 50s, and ‘Freddy vs. Jason’ took a lot out of me.”
Englund was “still doing a lot of my stunts,” including underwater scenes, but the film proved that he was done with the role due to his age. “I kind of knew I didn’t have a lot of stunt work left in me, or a lot of takes to physicalize it,” Englund said. “And my torso had shifted, along with my face getting older, which...

Freddy Krueger remains one of the great horror movie villains ever, but his portrayer, Robert Englund, pulled a rather noble move when it came time to toss a fellow actor by the name of Mark Hamill the perfect role. Or at least that’s the story Englund is telling.
As Robert Englund tells it, he got wind of a little movie called Star Wars after a failed audition for George Lucas’ friend, Francis Ford Coppola, who was casting Apocalypse Now. Too many of us in the horror world, it doesn’t get much bigger than Robert Englund. The man has haunted many of our dreams (and nightmares) and is an absolute legend. So you can imagine my joy when I was approach about interviewing the man, the myth and the legend. What followed is one of my favorite interviews, just for how present Robert is and generous with his time. We went about five minutes over and I could have talked to him significantly longer. He reveals what he considers to be his most underrated movies as well as full-on pitching a sequel...
