This movie just shouldn't have been made. If the camera work doesn't let you know very early on in the movie that this isn't a well made movie, the 'acting' will let you know in short order.
The only one I found passable was the actress playing the cop, who seems out of place with her natural easy way of acting surrounded by others who need to give up their profession. Perhaps she should have had the lead, because I've no idea how the lead was cast as she was. Unnatural, forced and awkward, I was laughing at the poor acting in several parts, and cringed too much.
Only watched half an hour, perhaps max of 45 minutes. I just couldn't waste any more time on it, even as a background movie whilst doing something else.
I get that the writing and direction have parts to play, not only in producing a bad movie, but in bringing out the worst in actors, but there's only so much blame you can place on them when the actors have zero talent.
Imagine that you, the viewer, with a profession and hobbies that have nothing to do with acting or film making, rocked up to play a part in a movie as a side gig. This is what you get. Utterly awful.
I was a little surprised at the storyline of the cop and lead character dating as they were gay, surprised in a good way, it's not represented enough in films. I gave an extra star for this.
