It's been a few decades since "The Young Interns" but rather than get a US update, this one came from the French and what a great job they did. In fact the one big complaint about the show is that they threw away the opportunity to go to series with it. Why on earth did they only go the mini-series route? The characters, actors and stories could have lasted as many seasons as those involved wanted - assuming they could have kept the same levels of creativity. As with all well-written hospital/medical dramas, there's a wealth of story possibilities available involving patients, staff and a combination of both. The subjects chosen in these outings were involving and absorbing enough, even if the final episode seemed rushed in order to finalize some end of series loose ends.

the serial is interesting. those persons who are related to medical science or any clinical jobs can find similar things happening to their life too. the newcomer doctors suffer from apathy of entering a new world of too much weight on their shoulders. the affair between the doctors benjamin and aurelia adds some romance too. doctor-patient relation is depicted nicely. specially for young doctors. and the usual aroma of tense between colleagues is present accordingly. i haven't seen the whole series. i watched only first few. but i liked it very much. i think think in upcoming days we will see a lot of climax in this TV serial. and i hope that others will enjoy it too.
