Heart-racing episode
jpismyname10 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This is one of the most tense episodes I've seen on AHS, and I think this season also has the most twists ever. This time, it has more major twists than the previous episode, and we also get answers to some of the most important questions this season.

To be honest, a few of the twists is very obvious and doesn't surprise most of us, which I think is just a little bit disappointing. I just wish that it isn't just the big reveal of this season. I wish there's more to this season. But still, this episode is amazing because it's very suspenseful and all the actors are doing a fantastic job. This season simply has some of the most evil characters and also we have three people left that we can trust: Chet, Xavier, and Brooke.

The truth is revealed!

Warning: Spoilers
Good episode however it was a pretty predictable twists that I had assumed from the beginning of the season.

The episode previous was a rollercoaster and executed so well that this is bound to be lack lustre in comparison ( at least for me anyway as I could already see what was about to happen ).

Sad to see some people go but hopefully we will get some ghosts ( like the hiker ) that'll help out the remaining survivors on their journey.

It's about to be a bumpy ride !

A story of betrayal and backstory.
bingepulse-0629311 October 2019
So these characters are just as bad as the killers themselves. All of these characters are stepping up and AHS has done a great job making this more than just a slasher script. I like Zach Villa's performance in this episode, he has villain chops and can't wait to see where his career goes. As well as Billie Lourd phenomenal job as her character has a twist in the story and I feel she does a great job with the shift. The ending goes to an intriguing route that I hope isn't too over the top but I trust the writing so far. Get caught up guys!

A wonderful chaotic mess
Drank2210 October 2019
Best episode of the season, in my opinion, so far. Nonstop action and overall chaotic scenes that are just the kind of over the top crazy you'd expect from AHS. This episode is a lot in terms of things happening, but we finally do get some answers. Some very good performances as well. Probably has the most impactful/ well done scene so far between Xavier and Chef Berty. Loved the fight scenes, death scenes, and even the character interactions. This season keeps on adding in on the mystery and plot twists, which really make this season interesting as anything can happen at this point. Here's to hoping it all makes some sense in the end!

Another Great Episode!

Warning: Spoilers
AHS is getting really good again! I really enjoyed this episode and all of the kills. While I am for twists, I don't want too many crazy ones like the last season had, so I'm not too sure about the ending, but as long as this doesn't turn into Apocalypse Part 2 with Michael Langdon, I'm fine with it.

Best one yet

Many disturbing elements and glorified madness! Most understandable, shocking and gross! So pleased with this season so far especially the music and story. kind of an all-for-one thing going on, hard to know who's gonna live and I am entirely comfortable with that.

Loved this episode and I am loveing Leslie Grossman's character this season (for once) she playing it perfectly.

Still have the feeling that there is a big switch up on the way.

Cruising along to greatness
hnt_dnl10 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
At this point, it's a foregone conclusion for me that Season 9 will end up one of the best of the series. Now, it's about enjoying the ride. Episode 4 "True Killers" ties up several loose ends as the storylines start to converge. Less twisty than the previous episodes, this one features great interactions among several duos with the mystery of the 1970s Redwood killings coming to a head. The tone effortlessly alternates between campy and serious within scenes. I'm laughing one minute only to be shocked the next. Unlike most slasher movies, this season is actually making me care about all the characters, good and evil, which is a tribute to both writing and acting. Season 9 feels like a lock at this point in being one of those rarities where a later season in a long-running series ends up being one of it's best.

Warning: Spoilers
Was getting excited that all these terrible characters were dying and we could be done with camp redwood for the rest of the season but then came the horrible realisation that they were all gonna become ghosts and we would be stuck with them for the rest of the season! Seems that Ryan Murphy dude is too busy doing other stuff these days and couldn't be bothered putting any attention into this. The ac

The worst episode so far. Too many things happening. They had to add so many twists because they didn't create anything unique. It's like watching a kid trying to create lie over another lie over and over again. After 4 episodes I can say that this season is disaster compared with previous ones.

Warning: Spoilers
We go back to when Yoga teacher, friend of Brooke, met satan and got close. Satan impressed the girl by hanging one of her students or something to the corner of the room, with his viscera protruding from his abdomen. The girl found ths hot and jumped at satan and made love to him. She asked him if he'd kill for her if she requested it. And she told him of Brooke and how she was the reason for the death of her brother. Satan agreed and the scene cut to know where they picked up from last episode when the girl was shouting at satan for not succeeding in killing brooke until now. He replied that he's doing his best and she's soon be dead. Cut to the injured guy lying on his back. Meanwhile, Brooke is still running in the wood, no sooner that she got injured by the first trap that she fell in another trap and she got stuck in a hunting net up in the air now. Montana hears her cry for help and rushes to the scene pretending that she will try to help. But she goes to satan and lead him to her so that he finishes her off. As soon as he got within meter of her he finds himself face to face with Jingles that came to the scene after left one guy burning in the oven and murdered a woman after a long conversation about the day of the murder in 1970 and how she came here to help the manager of the camp turn over a new leaf. Jingles fights satan and in the end jingles finishes satan off by pushing his head through a stake hanging. Meanwhile, brooke escapes and jingle loses her. The camp manager recalls memories of the day of the murder, and we find out that jingle is actually innocent, and was put to jail on a false accusation. When Jingles faces that camp manager. Things become more obvious and we learn that camp manager is the one that murdered all those girls 14 years ago because of the bullying she was subject to and she was the one that cut their ears and she framed the innocent mr jingle that made her a promise to protect her but couldn't keep it. She told him that he finally delivered his promise when he was put to jail instead of her. Upon hearing this, jingle realizes how he was manipulated and made into Mr jingle through the inculcation of the camp manager that convinced him that he is the murderer. Also, what made him think this too was the torture and electrification he went through in prison. Great episode. Also satan is healed and back, damn!

S9.E4 - Such an Intense Episode! [9/10]
panagiotis199314 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
(S9. E4) My Live Reaction / Review for American Horror Story Season 9 Episode 4 ''True Killers''. The previous episode was good and I gave it a rating of 9/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Ramirez is Montana's boyfriend and her brother got killed and she blames Brooke for that? Things got a bit complicated, I like it. Did Mr. Jingles just put Xavier inside the oven? That's brutal. Mr. Jingles vs Ramirez? Hell yeah, lets go! Mr. Jingles won the fight, I like it. Wait, was Mr. Jingles innocent? What a twist! Margaret was the real killer? Margaret just killed Trevor, she is absolutely nuts. Why she did it? Someone put the only car they have on fire? Who could it be? Ramirez is still alive or he is a ghost now? Probably a ghost. Overall this episode was good and I enjoyed it. My rating is 9/10.

True Killers
bobcobb30111 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I think a lot of the critics of this show don't understand that they are purposely going for the slasher film vibe which means a lot of odd twists and characters justifying behavior that doesn't make sense.

Mr. Jingles not being the real killer was a bad twist though. That sent this show in the wrong direction. An okay episode, but that was a mistake.

He was Billy Idol-Cool But He Had A Heart Of Gold
wandernn1-81-68327420 August 2021
We start with another PERFECT scene with Billy Idol's Rebel Yell.

Poor Rod. He had to be the offering for Montana's affection from RICHARD.

She really liked it though. Some women have odd tastes.

The reason Montana has for wanting to kill Brooke is stupid. -1 Star.

Haha though. Mr Jingles and Richard Ramirez meet in single combat. +1 Star.

This ep was pretty good as we find out things about Mr. Jingles we really didn't expect. +1 Star 6/10.

Really?
Jac2344312 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Hotel still sucks more than this season, but my goodness the writing this season is absolute trash. Gutter trash, it is so bad I cringe every time the Night Stalker talks, he should never have been a part of the series... its unrealistic and gimmicky. The Mr. Jingles angle was great and if they had just stuck with that narrative, along with the psycho psychologist Rita not Rita, and Montana's revenge twist, it would have remained pretty solid... but it all just feels like filler, really cringe-worthy writing. "S%*an will show me the way," ew, just no.

This had the opportunity to mix in many different versions of slasher horror and focused on one, campy. Which is fine and all, but I thought it was at least going to be campy AND refreshing! Honestly, this is a difficult installment to sit through, because there are just so many bad outfit decisions and bad use of space, and horrible dialogue (every night stalker or Margaret scene, or backstory showing how terrible every single one of these characters are), that it comes off just as bad as the episode in Hotel where killers all eat dinner together... but worse of all, its just as bad as the creepy clown in Freak Show... just weak (Everyone knows Finn Wittrock made that season). Slashers are supposed to wrathful, and vengeful with an obvious psychotic twist, both of those elements existed in Mr. Jingles and Montana but neither of them follow through with quality. Just a shame!

cheap slasher season
codygdietrich12 October 2019
The season is full of all sorts of twist about the personal histories and connections of the characters. It gets to be over the top and the big reveal in this episode is actually the most predicable. Full disclosure I'm not a fan of 80s horror films and I think by the end of this season they will have spoofed every single one.

This show is so bland
Mr_Wobbly11 October 2019
I don't know what this show is for. Is it comedy? Horror? A parody? It tries to be everything but fails on every level. It's barely entertaining. I just don't get it and I've tried; various seasons, several episodes of each and, well, nope. Not for me. Characters you don't care about, real people used just for their names and represented totally incorrectly. It looks great, especially the latest season, but there are no surprises and nothing that made me eager to see what happened next.

Wow who is writing this trash a child?
thenicknewane17 October 2019
I have watched all seasons of this because my other half likes it and I thought seasons 1-4 were bad but compared to the last three seasons they were masterpieces this season has been absolutely atrocious from beginning to end. The writing makes no Sense and the acting is by far the worst I've ever seen I mean how did anyone involved in this seasons show get this job?
