  Rod Blake : Oh, hello. I'm Rod Blake, chief investigator for the Nevada state troopers. Well, they say a bad penny always returns. Well, maybe, but when the missing Penny is 5'6" and blonde and you're not sure how bad it is, there's not much to do but go looking for it. Well, we did - with rifles and tear gas - and what happened shouldn't happen to a policeman, a sheriff or a trooper.

• Rod Blake : I think I was talking to a crook with a bright, new idea.

  Sheriff Elder : We got the girl - what could they want?

  Rod Blake : Probably one jump ahead of us on that, too.

• Rod Blake : And when did you start to suspect him?

  Penny Lawrence : Well, I began to think something was wrong when he stuck a gun in my ribs.

• Rod Blake : [narrating]  That's why a showgirl or a Penny Lawrin was perfect for the operation. Her disapperance made headlines and every lawman in the valley was looking for her. It was so perfect it had an aroma about it - the sweet smell of cooperation.

• Rod Blake : How are you feeling?

  Penny Lawrence : I'm all right. They didn't hurt me except for that cord on my wrists and the gag.
