Rod Cameron: Lt. Rod Blake

Quotes

  • Lt. Rod Blake : Oh, hello. I'm Rod Blake, chief investigator for the Nevada state troopers. You know, over the years, a police officer sees a lot of guns - too many of them from the wrong end. You get so you don't look at the gun if you want to stay alive; you look at the man on the other end. It's a good theory - I'm still around - but it can have it's disconcerting moments, like when you look for a man at the other end and find a teenager... or an old lady. I'll be back in a moment with a case called, "Inherit a Bullet".

  • Lt. Rod Blake : [narrating]  Allen Easton, at forty, had everything to live for. He was a millionaire, he was healthy, he and his mother owned a ranching empire. He traded it all for a twenty second nap on the highway between Las Vegas and Tonopah.

[picture of a car driving off the edge of a cliff and crashing on the rocks below]

  • [last lines]

Lt. Rod Blake : [to Ross]  Did you ever paddle Jennie?

    Jennie : And how!

Lt. Rod Blake : Do you still have the paddle?

Ross : [referring to Baker]  It will be ready whenever he is.

Lt. Rod Blake : [to Jennie]  And you teach him how to handle a rifle, Tight Pants.
