After finding Don't Go outside (2021-also reviewed) to be a wonderfully off-beat viewing,I decided to pick up the phone for another short film at Grimmfest.

View on the film:

Dialling into the future, husband and wife co-directors Courtney & Mark Sposato set the tone perfectly with brash neon lighting over the phone, which they gradually transform into a abrasive colour palette as razor-sharp whip-pans cross the time divide, and the call goes haywire.

Speaking to a very of himself decades in the future, RJ Brown gives a great turn as young Miller, whose arrogant swagger Brown snaps, as Cedric Cannon has the older Miller cough out a wicked macabre Sci-Fi twist-ending,which leaves his younger self hanging on the telephone.
