- TriviaUnusually, P&S do not visit any confirmed historical characters in this short. King Arthur was probably based on a historical British chieftain, but no confirmed attestation of his historical analog has ever been found.
- GoofsPeabody sets the WABAC for the 6th century, but the calendar on Camelot's wall reads AD 853, which is the 9th century.

England's KING ARTHUR (May 1, 486 to Oct. 30, 555) . . .
. . . is a logical subject for time travelers to visit. Mark Twain's CONNECTICUT YANKEE had a lot of adventures in Art's court during the 1800's, and Professor Peabody introduces dragons to Double Bubble Gum in 1959. I coincidentally viewed this brief episode on the same evening just after stumbling upon 45 pieces of Double Bubble from the 1900's. However, Mr. Peabody's timing proves to be less fortuitous than mine. Though he correctly directs Sherman to set the Way Back Machine for the 6th Century, when he gets to Art's pad the wall calendar sets the date as "Tuesday, April 6, 853 AD" (1:01) This colossal continuity goof diverts attention away from the glaring absence of Guinevere, Lancelot, Lionel, Mordred, Morgan and most of the other key members of Art's court. Merlin the backwards-living wizard does make a cameo appearance here, but the tunes of CAMELOT are totally missing in action.
