. . . ignores Real Life more so than most. Perhaps out of deference to Mr. Stallone, V. N. BALBOA is totally white-washed during his namesake offering, portrayed as a harmless buffoon looking for "the Pacific Ocean," which in Reality was named by some dude called Fred Magellan years after Balboa's execution. Peabody and his sidekick Sherman skirt the elephant in Balboa's room, when he fed his large canine retinue 40 inhabitants of a village he was trying to lord over, because he took issue with their rag scene story hours. When the King of Spain, a dog fancier, heard of this outrage, he sent a seal team six hit squad with orders to decapitate Balboa and a quartet of his top henchmen. Under the "What's Sauce for the Goose" Principle, King Ferdinand had the Evil Quintet's remains fed to the mutts. This gave rise to the Spanish cooking term, "Chow Down."
