Probably the stupidest thing on TV
atcvector5 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was ridiculous from the outset. The aviation mistakes and errors are too many to list. Making a defibrillator from an airplane battery? Pure fantasy. Magnetizing a non magnetic aluminum airplane? Pure stupidity! A cable somehow stretches from the right rear door to the front of the right main landing gear while the airplane is in flight? More stupidity! The list could go on and on. This episode makes the spoof comedy Airplane look realistic. This episode is an insult to every halfway intelligent human being on earth. Please put this show out of it's and our misery.

No pilot or technical consultants?
lawriter-8934222 February 2020
Okay, this show stretches the Macgyverisms beyond belief. But this episode really pulled some absurd, ridiculous, and mindless actions. Please get a real tech consultant to point these out to you? I can't believe you think your viewers are that stupid?

Note to Script Writers, Jet Aircraft Doors Open INWARDS.
pidstr24 February 2020
Okie, we get the 'reboot the show each season' vibe, with the cast rotating in and out,.. But this episode (and the previous two for Season 4) seem to revert to the "Let's have Riley in a low cut top for ratings" formula of the first half of season one. I hope Tristan May's gets a bonus payment for every time the camera is not pointed at her face. Now, the plot devices for this episode have been done before in movies and TV, and is close enough to some real tragedies to stir up the populist press,... But F.F.S!, hire some researchers, so we don't have jets with inward opening doors having them ripped off in the airstream - if that door had ripped off in real life, the jet would have been an instant Aluminium Shower, as the engine is right behind it, and right where the cable would have been sucked in to as well. The actors earn all 5 stars of this rating, for not breaking character while performing some of these actions.

Stupidest! Episode! Evar!
steve_t50925 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Each time they did or said something mind-bogglingly stupid, I thought "it can't possibly get any worse". And then they'd do or say something even stupider. "10 year old son of a pilot can't possibly have a clue what a headset is". "Too windy for prop planes. Only jets can safely land there". "Private airfield. They won't let us land". Hard to say which was the stupidest, but the idea that a qualified pilot would have to be told that a mountain will cause an updraft ranks right up there.

There's "suspension of disbelief". And then there's "need to be too stupid to live" to buy this absurdity.

Unrealistic
aparnavigneshwaran17 January 2021
I haven't seen all the episodes or the season, I just happened to catch Season 4 episode 4 as it was playing. They talk about how unsafe an exploded building rescue is but immediately afterwards the protagonist MacGuyver, Riley and Desi all enter without any safety gear or helmets whereas all the other rescue workers are following protocol and wearing safety gear. These lack of attention to details was irritating.

Really??
mustangemma10 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Episode was ok. Enjoyed the nod to the fans with the nickname for rigging things together. But the plot rip-off of Air Force one wasn't so original and the shocking-the-pilot-into-a-sinus-rhythm was so bad it went way past overlookable. And landing a plane on a thin moving object?? Difficult at best. Cant believe they decided landing the plane on the truck with magnets was a good idea. Props to the actors for trying to make things work, but can the show runners hire at least one person to consult next time??? Even asking their mechanic or doctor friends would've been enough. I'm so tired of shows thinking people aren't going to notice their inaccuracies.
