When he asks one owner if he can use his phone, the man tells Sheldon that he's not getting a hangout and should go stand with the rest of the "bums". Sheldon offers the man money to use his telephone, and the owner takes the money and directs Sheldon to his phone.
Sheldon goes inside and picks up the phone, but can't bring himself to call home. "Chester" appears and tells Sheldon that he should make the call and there's no shame in giving up. Sheldon points out that his father gave up on everyone, and Chester tells Sheldon that he's trying to keep Sheldon from ending up like him, and Sheldon should admit he's wrong.
When Sheldon yells at Chester to shut up, Chester disappears as the owner yells through the window at Sheldon to hurry. Sheldon calls Jane at her home but doesn't say anything at first. Sheldon goes to the Miller farm and finds the warehouse from his vision. He goes to the farmhouse, and realizes that it's the one from his vision. He has a vision of a ship at sea, and a lit chamber covered with sigils, like before, but the boy on the porch from his vision isn't there.
Going to the door, Sheldon knocks at it and goes in through the unlocked door when he doesn't get an answer. Miller says that Sheldon isn't the only one who has had visions and pours him a drink. He tells Sheldon to go back the way he came, and Sheldon asks Miller more about the visions he's had.
Miller explains that he was in the Navy, and his ship was on the ocean and a storm followed them. Then the ship was flipped upside down. Ever since then Miller has heard ringing from time to time, and still hears it even though Sheldon doesn't. Miller figures that Sheldon hasn't been out to sea yet, and says that he never went to sea again. Despite that, the water eventually found him. Miller says that the water makes patterns, and draws one in the dust on the table.
Chester appears to Sheldon and tells his son that there's nothing out there but a crazy old man. Miller realizes that Sheldon is seeing a dead loved one, and asks who it is. The old man says that it's always somebody close, tells Sheldon that they always lie, and kills himself with the gun. Sheldon finds a cellar door outlined by the blood from Miller's head wound, and goes down.

Carl complains about the hole Chloe put in his wall, and he reminds Chloe that he's evicting her. When Carl orders them all out, Chloe has Kaitlyn repair the whole with her powers, and Chloe tells Carl to get out or she'll have Kaitlyn use her reversal power on him. Carl backs off and tells them to keep it down, and leaves.

In the cellar, Sheldon finds the mummified corpses of Miller's family at a table. He finds more patterns painted on the walls, has more visions of the windmill, and finds a pocket watch like the one Chester owned on the table. There are latitude and longitude coordinates written on the dust around the watch, and Sheldon's nose starts bleeding. Sheldon sees the corpses Walt, Jane, George, and the other people he knows. They look at him, and Sheldon passes out from the shock.
Later, Sheldon leaves the farmhouse and sees a car approaching. Walt is driving, parks, gets out, and Sheldon tells him that he's ready to come home.

Chloe mutters that she isn't.
Staggering out to the living room, Chloe picks up her phone and starts to call her mother. She crushes the phone in a fury, finds what's left of the powder, and snorts it. Hutch comes in and takes the empty powder bag, and Chloe wakes up enough to see him.
