about faith
Kirpianuscus21 May 2021
It can be perceived as a sort of slice of telenovelas . In some measure, it is it. It can be discovered as pledge for contraception. And nothing wrong in this perspective. It can be a good religious film. I saw it as a film, a good one, about honesty to yourself. Sure, adaptation of the story about a real case. But, more important, about decisions changing everything, about fundamental options about painful clashes . And about faith. Each position - the one of the young scientist , the position of his friend, the priest - has roots and motivations. And that can be, not ignoring the position of director and story , the real key of the beauty of Sweet Potatoes. The wise exploration of nuances , the duty and family life are the basic virtues of this surprising, for many motives, short film.
