This is "BYD: Make History" and it is a car commercial, even if it really does not look like it most of the time. This is for a Chinese company and it seems they paid big bucks to pay Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio to star in their advertizing, not just this one commercial, but there is at least one more. Leo has basically nothing to do except walk through a forest early on and at the same time we hear his voiceover/narration elaborating on how to make history. Or how not to because the words written for him could not be any more shallow honestly. Kinda cringeworthy. And I am saying this as somebody who really likes the actor in most of his stuff. But this one here is just nah. It's not one bit his fault though. The idea and execution feel completely void of talent, but instead the make up for it by a gigantic degree of self-importance. You won't make history by buying their cars. Or by buying any other car. Not even the green aspect could justify this mention. And this aspect is missing here entirely compared to another BYD commercial with Leo. That one is slightly better. So I have no idea what they were thinking here honestly releasing it like this. I cannot come up with anything positive here (except that luckily we are only tortured for pretty much exactly a minute) and the fact that this has barely five votes on imdb despite being 2 years old and featuring perhaps the biggest actor on the planet right now (maybe not in terms of range, but in terms of popularity) says it all. It's failure territory. Highly not recommended, not even worth seeing for the biggest DiCaprio fans.
