Rounds is a fun, touching and thought promoting movie about friendship. It explores the conceptions and misconceptions of a group of friends. I had the pleasure of seeing this at this years Hollywood Film Festival and would highly recommend it. Following a group of friends and their individual and collective struggles with life, love and friendships Rounds takes you are a journey that you will not soon forget. A film festival favorite already, I hope to be seeing Rounds in my local theater. Mark Atienza's writing and directing (he, also, stars in the film) are at their best. A superb supporting cast....including Billy Drago....weave the story so smoothly until it's dramatic ending. Do yourself a favor and watch this film!

The end makes up for the beginning.

Warning: Spoilers
The film was a challenge for me perhaps because I don't relate to having jock like buddies. I didn't understand constant reference to the basketball games until towards the end. The story lines of each of the three leads are perhaps stereotyped average guys. One guy appears to have slept with every girl possible, one guy is in a relationship experiencing issues, and the last guy is having a tough time getting work. There is also one character that briefly comes into a couple scene that I just didn't understand until the end. He also had this weird mouth when he spoke. The way the film progressed I almost gave up, until an hour and half into it there is a slight twist then the jarring end to the film. Even though I made a few fast forward clicks the last 30 min makes up for the long film. Quite a powerful film.

Rounds the movie is such a great story about friendship! I can't wait to hopefully add it to my movie collection. As most people find value in friendship, this movie does a great job depicting the highs and lows of what true friendship is all about. The cast that was chosen does an amazing job making it relatable to everyday life. It reminds me of all the times in life while growing up.From the love stories to raising of a drink in celebration of sticking with each other through life, it is a hit home kinda movie! It is the kind of movie that makes you want to reconnect with long lost friends. I can't wait to watch it with my life long friends.
