Amusing and offbeat episode
searchanddestroy-112 November 2015
Yes, folks, amusing this tale of a man in love who climbs flagpole to persuade his girl to marry him and raise a chicken farm. No drama, nor gangsters here, and that's the best example of what this show genuinely is: roaring twenties pure atmosphere with the ever Dotty Provine interludes. Don't misunderstand if Anthony Caruso is here, he is not a gang leader. So, don't expect him to handle a chopper - a machine gun. He plays a rough cabaret manager who gets the opportunity to make good business from the show: the lover boy flagpole. This topic changes very much from many others I have already seen. And I don't ask for more. It's always funnyto see Rex Reason doing pure journalist job - as in this story, and in some others handling a gun like a cop.

And you have here an unexpected ending.
