The performance by the cast is dismal, and the historical facts are abominable. The only thing worth watching in this movie is the German Shepherd dog Snuf. The main character, Tom, is an obnoxious, extremely irritating brat who thinks he can win the war all by himself. The makers didn't even bother to get the uniforms right - there are two German Captains in the movie, one of which appears to be the superior of the other (by addressing him as lieutenant). When the main character ends up with the Canadian soldiers, he is given a Captain's uniform, complete with distinctions (as if they would not have a soldier's uniform). When the Germans look for a pilot, they fail to see the main characters boat, and the dog swims faster than the German patrol boat (and of course, the Germans do not see him). Truly the absolute worst movie - even for Dutch standards - ever made
