Bud, Bud, Bud...
mitchrmp20 November 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Of course, Bud is the most interesting of the two brothers because he seems to always be getting into some kind of trouble. This isn't the first episode we see Bud getting in trouble for bringing home any stray that comes his way. But already had a pet dolphin, pelican, and skunk (and he has a dog somewhere. It pops up every now and then). Now he's brought home a pet raccoon. This, of course, is after he had a run in with the 'higher up' that is there to inspect his father's park. The higher up had already told Bud he was going to order Flipper be set free.

Bud is not happy with this man and will do anything to get him into trouble. He is rather rude to the man, and the next day his father orders him to apologize. But you know Bud...Not only does he NOT apologize, but he gets himself into more trouble. Sandy knows it and does his big brother duty. You'll have to watch to get the rest of the story!

Inspector who dislikes pets and boys
wrxsti5411 July 2014
Warning: Spoilers
The National Park Ranger HQ sends a bachelor inspector to examine Porter's work at Coral Key - trouble is he dislikes pets and doesn't understand boys. Bud is a ticking time bomb on both fronts. First he meets the inspector with Flipper and he thinks it's wrong to have a pet dolphin. Next he brings a pet raccoon home and Pete the Pelican follows Sandy into the house and finally Stinky the skunk cuddles his leg. This freaks out the inspector and causes Porter to order Bud and Sandy to get the pets out of the house.

A planned picnic the next day is disrupted when the raccoon comes back in and trashes the picnic being prepared on the table while Porter and Sandy rush out to call Pete from snapping his beak at the inspector. The inspector seeks solace in fishing by himself right on the park boundary.

Porter, Sandy and Bud come alongside in the launch to see how he is going. Porter wants Bud to apologize for the raccoon incident and he not only refuses but he persuades Flipper to move the skiff anchor so it looks like he's illegally caught fish inside the Park boundary. Sandy tries to stop Bud from this dishonesty and eventually tells Porter what Bud did.

Bud is ordered by Porter to properly apologize to an angry and disgruntled inspector who has the power to move the Ricks to another park. Bud does apologize for the anchor stunt but makes a plea for understanding about pets and boys and he manages to get the inspector to reconsider so he leaves happy despite wrecking his knee avoiding the skunk!
