This script was inspired and written during the summer of 1999 by Will Anderson while he was working at a major internet company. Will was directly exposed to the early stages of the MP3 file format development and the ability to share those MP3 files pier to pier for free. Working closely with his homeboy Jumad Pickney a successful record store owner and long before the Napster lawsuit began Will was already sharing MP3 audio files with co-workers and close friends. All indications were this new ability to "for free" share MP3 music audio files among music fans would surely rock the music industry worldwide to its financial core. Free music was something only a good friend could provide you by making a copy of his original manufactured recording. So many questions arose, during a time when Will was an early film student at night school and a daytime financial controller at a major dot credit card processor. Hanging out at the underground clubs of Los Angeles, Ca. always seeking to hear the best unknown artist, the story of J-Dub was discovered. Connections from the underground music world reveled not many artist worldwide were aware MP3 and The Internet were causing wall street and street wars. So the future was already written in Will's eyes. What is the best way to share the stories with the music fans worldwide? Make a film about it all. Hip Hop 2000 "Join The Revolution" was born. June 1999 in Pasadena, Ca.
