A Will of Her Own
lavatch18 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
In episode two, it is clear both Hanna and Clara may be said to have "a will of her own." The two friends have bonded like Gilgamesh and Enkido in an inseparable friendship.

In the case of Clara, her stay at the Meadows is stormy. She recognizes that it was Sandy who betrayed her by mentioning to John that she recalled Clara's interest in her mother. As a result, Clara was lured into the hotel in Budapest. Now, she is back at the Meadows with a new profile and name: Clemency Jones. An interesting character is Helen, who has recognizes that she and the other trainees have been fed lies. Helen thinks for herself!!!

In Paris, Marisa finds a "safe" room for Hanna. She is given a haircut and a blonde hair coloring, as well as a new name: Beatrice. But after Marissa makes arrangements for Hanna to reside with a nice family in the wilderness, Hanna leaves the room makes a beeline for Clara.

Hanna participates in the Passway pharma's company's trial of candidates for the Utrax program. When the test becomes intense, Hanna starts to hallucinate. As she races out of the facility, the quick-thinking Marissa pulls up in an SUV to rescue her...again.

Marissa must feel betrayed after running the risk of being detected by the watchdog Sonia Ritcher, who has been spying on her at the behest of John. Hanna has potentially exposed her once again.

Worse than the premiere.

Warning: Spoilers
Oh, God. That fight scene with Clara and Sandy was terrible. Not only were there too many cuts but the choreography wasn't that good, either. Then again, it's not like the fight choreography in this show was ever particularly good in the first place.

And I guess I was too wishful in hoping that there wouldn't be that much of an emphasis and focus on what you'd expect there to be so much of in a teen drama, not in a show like this, and I use 'like this' in a very loose manner.

This show hasn't exactly been like you'd expect from it, and not in a good way. For those that may not be getting what I'm referring to, I'm talking about the dynamic between Sandy and Jules or whatever you'd call it, and Jules, particularly. Her dialogue is pretty bad, as well.

I don't care about Sandy or Jules, at all. And while I guess I hope there will be an importance to them, I probably still won't care. I mean, Sandy's alright, I guess, so I wouldn't mind if she ends up being super important, like being in the third season or something, or just important, in general. But Jules is so bland. I don't think anything that could happen with her in the future of this season will make me care about her.

This episode was worse than the premiere. I wouldn't call the premiere 'good', but it was better than this episode, that's for sure. The majority of this episode was about trying to throw you off by trying to make you think that Hanna doesn't care about Clara and isn't thinking about rescuing her or rather, isn't going to try, because Marissa is getting her a new identity along with a new life, only for there to be this HUGE twist that Hanna bails right before Marissa arrives with Hanna's new identity to find out information that can lead her to Clara. Wow, that was such a twist that nobody could've expected.

In short, hardly anything of significance or importance happened in this episode. But this is only the second episode, so it's not that big of a deal. Still, that doesn't make this episode/an episode that hardly has anything of significance or importance happen, any better. On one hand, I want to hope the season picks up and gets pretty good and enjoyable. But on the other hand, I know better than to hope that. I'm not expecting this season to become super good. It won't. Mark my words.

Good Show...but come on!!
jwsmith-2204714 July 2020
Really enjoyed season 1, think Joel is an amazing actor. My only beef with this series is how writers/directors think an 18 year old would kick the crap out of grown men/soldiers. I mean come on, it's not realistic (no offense to women, I'm referring to her age not gender) She's knocking guys out with one punch, I get knocking out a doctor or nurse with one punch at her age with her training she's received but not trained military soldiers. She probably doesn't weigh more than 130 pounds. Other than that really enjoy the show, wish Joel wasn't killed off though.

Feel like wasted my time with this series. The season 1 was good. This episode made no sense to me. Way too much violence for nothing. There are much better choices in Prime.

Clock Is Ticking To Impress.....

Hanna goes to rescue 249 from her new habitat and finds the Ultrax trainees have been moved yet again.

249 figures out that she should have listened to Hanna.

We are introduced to the Carmichael character who is now running the show.

This ep was another, mediocre ep with nothing overly impressive to me. 5/10.
