- Six beer-bellied guys from the Ed Garage find their plans for the week totally changed by a draft for a National Guard maneuver. After an accidental meeting with a U.S. Admiral (Don Johnson), the six misfits turn out to be the only ones between us and a nuclear holocaust.—American Film Market
- The Long Flat Balls film trilogy are comedies centered around a group of male blue collar workers and soccer fans. They pay tribute to ordinary men and their friendship told with humor and compassion for a type of men that are so often looked down on and ridiculed. A real light folk comedy, with a big heart. And in film 2 the guys from the Ed-Garage find themselves drafted for a National Guard maneuver. After an accidental meeting with a U.S. Admiral (Don Johnson), the six misfits turn out to be the only ones between able to stop a nuclear disaster. It all starts when Kai forgot to send in the draft letter explaining their excuse for not attending. They're arrested, and Petter has to bring his daughter, Mie, because his girlfriend, Laila has a well deserved holiday. The National Guard maneuver expands into a full NATO exercise (Norway is an important member of NATO), and the town is full of US Navy personnel. Petter, en expert mechanic, becomes friends with Admiral Burnett (Don Johnson) because he manages to repair his car, a vintage Cobra, that none of the mechanics at the US navy are able to fix. So when the nuclear submarine collapses due to mechanical failure, Admiral Burnett calls on the six local mechanics, led by Petter to repair the main engine. The urgency is that the Nuclear Sub has engaged a self-destruct mechanism that can't be stopped unless it's main engine is working. By risking their lives the men from the Ed-garage enter the sub, set and manage to end the count down just in time.
