Love this work. It's really amazing. I really hope to see more stuff like this. Would love to see someone make a movie out of my story The Lonely wolf of Lri which was inspired by Tolkien stories.

"Darrylgorn" is an American 8-minute short film from 2019, November 2019 and in the first month since being released on Youtube, it scored around a million views. Not too bad. The writer, director and lead actor here is Stephen Colbert and actually this is an extract from his Late Show with Stephen Colbert, so I am a bit surprised this actually exists as an individeul/independent title here on imdb. Maybe it has to do with some big name actors from the lord of the Rings trilogy playing themselves when being asked if they want to play their characters again. Also these parts honestly were the funniest, almost the only funny, aspect from this short film. And Peter Jackson who keeps mistaking other legendary film sagas for Lord of the Rings. Maybe if his interview before this "film" was part of the movie, then I would have given it a better rating. Just maybe. I learnt something new there, namely that Colbert was in a Hobbit movie, but more importantly that Jackson has cameos in his movies and we briefly see what they looked like. Anyway, back to the short film here, like I made pretty clear this is all about Lord of the Rings and Colbert wants to star in a trilogy about Aragorn's more attractive brother. The scenes in here, except the ones at the end, are all mix up between Colbert and actual scenes from the film. Only at the end, we see the actors I mentioned earlier. McKellen is only in it very briefly, so is Wood, but he is kinda memorable. Mortensen has the most screen time and that was really nice as I like him a lot. Actually saw him live present some Spanish poetry he wrote not too long ago. Okay I am drifting a bit away again, but these under 10 minutes just don't qualify for a long review. I am not a big fan of Colbert gently-speaking and like I said this was only worth seeing when Colbert was not on the screen and instead the other actors and Jackson got to entertain us. Overall, I give it a thumbs-down.
