First, they have ALWAYS spoken in metaphors and quotes in this show... EVERY... SINGLE... EPISODE. If you no likey, no watchy! Also, they obviously wanted to work in the reality of COVID with Axe working remotely from quarantine and all the video calls. Nothing wrong with that! If that surprises you, have you watched any new TV productions since the pandemic started??? The only strike I see in this episode is the casting of Bogosian. Uber awful! Why???? But, still a great episode!

Obviously, the last two episodes Mr. Lewis had Covid19. Looks like they just turned it into Axe speaking remotely through zoom and facetime. Good episode as the plot thickens, but beginning to feel like the show has maybe jumped the shark. I'm thinking one more full year and its out to pasture for Billions. I just wish they would give Chuck a really satisfying win with Wendy. Maybe next episode?

Axe is gone mental and does the exact opposite stuff, he didnt do in the last years. Make emotional decisions.
Wendy is somehow horny for axe after being with him for 39118 years.
Chuck is just greedy with and gives no fs about the family tradition and how immensely important blood is.
Only bobby stays the same and that is, because he needs an enemy to shine and show his dog with the bone mentality.
All in all, it feels like they do what a sitcom does. Make the characters more extreme from season to season. (Flanderization) The writers have no clue how to carry on. Billions is only a reference heavy series with cartoo character shells.

Every single character speaks as if they are poets or authors. The daughters of Prince are even worse than the daughters of Dorn on GOT. How must Begosian feel to simultaneously play characters here and on Succession, where people are 3 dimensional and say stupid stuff all the time like real people? Plus the plot is sooo convoluted, who knows WTF is actually going on?
