Neil Patrick Harris Is Again Stealing The Show
slightlymad2217 December 2014
Plot In A Paragraph: After Ted wakes up to discover that he got a butterfly tattoo on his lower back while drunk, he sees a dermatologist to have it removed. Ted finds himself attracted to the doctor and announces his plan to date her. But Barney and the others try to talk him out of it by sharing their own experiences dating people with whom they have to see on a regular basis once the relationship has ended. Barney explains The Platinum Rule to Ted: Never, ever, ever love thy neighbour.

Neil Patrick Harris is again stealing the show, even though the focal point of the show is Ted it's Barney who gets the laughs

The Platinum Rule (#3.11)

Warning: Spoilers
Another perfect episode. Ted goes on a date with his doctor and rest tries to convince him not to by telling the stories of how they made a mistake to go out with somebody who live or works too close.

We have neighbors. This is Marshall and Lily story how they befriended neighbors. Very funny. I love those two already and see them trying to escape their neighbors was too funny. And it was great to see Kristen Schaal as a guest star.

Robin's story on dating a coworker was also great comedy. Nice that they added hockey in here.

Barney's story with Wendy the waitress was also great with a nice twist as it could have ended just fine, it was Barney who was a bit crazy.

And it was lovely to add the final step on how at the end it all turns out just fine.

Good episode, boring ending

It felt like the perfect episode with a great build up, with another one of Barney's classic "rules". But they had an opportunity for a big funny ending, and it felt like they ran out of ideas. I'm sure other people liked how things turned out good in the end, but it just felt incomplete.
