  Reese Burton : What's going on, Dean?

  Dean Collins : [talking on phone]  Yes, I'm returning your call to Lane McKenzie. No, I'm not the card holder, but I need to know what the problem is with her account. Look, I'm a detective, her mother's maiden name is McCullan. I want this call patched through to the Savannah Police Department, this is a homicide investigation, and I wanna know what was purchased and where it was delivered and I wanna know yesterday!

• Reese Burton : [as they run out towards Dean's pickup]  Doesn't make any sense ordering a TV set for somebody who lives in Harlow.

  Dean Collins : Most likely somebody found the credit card and went on a shopping spree.

  [she climbs in as well] 

  Dean Collins : What are you doing?

  Reese Burton : What does it look like I'm doing?

  Dean Collins : You can not come with me, Reese.

  Reese Burton : If you don't let me go, I'll follow you, and in order to keep up with you, I'll tailgate. What would you rather have, me being a traffic hazard, or passenger sitting safely by your side?

  Dean Collins : You know, it's probably a wild goose chase.

  Reese Burton : Why are you going?

  Dean Collins : Reese. I respect what you're going through, okay? But you're talking as if you believe that Lane is still alive... when all the evidence we have states otherwise.

  Reese Burton : I'll believe what I wanna believe, all right? I'm not a cop, I don't have to hide my feelings. I don't have to pretend I don't have hope.

  Dean Collins : Of course I hope she's alive, but it's not reasonable to believe... that she's alive.

• Reese Burton : [as they pull up outside the farmhouse]  I think we just passed the middle of nowhere.

  Dean Collins : [gets out of the truck]  You stay here.

• Dean Collins : [as Reese pulls her breath in sharply when he aims his service revolver at her]  I told you to stay in the car!

  Reese Burton : Did you get inside?

  Dean Collins : I don't hear a thing, I don't see a thing, I need probable cause.

  Reese Burton : [holding up one of Lane's garments]  Is this enough? I found it on the clothesline behind the house. Call somebody!
