  Lois Lane : I am aware she'd been drinking.

  Chrissy Beppo : I looked into Derek Powell while you were with his mom. It turns out the guy has a pretty checkered past.

  Lois Lane : Even if that's true, that voicemail was really compelling.

  Chrissy Beppo : Out of context, sure, but he never once mentioned Morgan Edge. Maybe it was just a drug deal gone wrong.

  Lois Lane : That is a stretch.

  Chrissy Beppo : But a bazillionaire making the guy disappear isn't?

  Lois Lane : At least give me the chance to prove I'm right.

  Chrissy Beppo : Look, this isn't the Daily Planet. We don't have the resources to run an investigation for weeks on end.

  Lois Lane : But you hired me to write this kind of story.

  Chrissy Beppo : [hearing a noise outside, they go to investigate and see a car has been firebombed]  I hate to ask, but you don't happen to drive a station wagon that's on fire right now... do you?

• Kyle Cushing : I'm sorry about your car, Lois.

  Lois Lane : Morgan Edge was behind this, Kyle.

  Kyle Cushing : Now, hold on. You shouldn't go around making baseless accusations like that.

  Lois Lane : It's not baseless. We just finished talking to a source about him.
