Did you know
- TriviaThere is an inside joke about Pakistani travelers who, once told they are about to land and should fasten their seatbelts decide instead to take their bags from overhead storage, as they would do on a crowded train, preparing to fight their way through a teeming mob of people.
- GoofsKamala asks directions to the train station from a street vendor, even agreeing to buy a Polaroid from him in exchange for the information. She is shown to still have cell service in Pakistan and could have easily used a maps app instead.
- Quotes
Kamala Khan: Why is the hot and sour soup so red?
Red Dagger: That's the color it's supposed to be. Did you Americans find a way to whitewash the Chinese food too?
Kamala Khan: Tell me, was it difficult finding a scarf long enough to cover that big mouth of yours?

Hit and miss moments, but I'm still with it
Kamala and family travel to Pakistan.
This is an okay episode with some good scenes, but I struggled to engage with some aspects the plot.
I enjoyed all the Karachi street scenes and the culture shock moments of Kamala being a long way from New Jersey. The dialogue exchanges between family and the general banter is well done like the previous episodes.
For me the weakest scenes relate to the main action-adventure plot. I do not think this part of the narrative flows very well. It generally involves big exposition dumps that give the required background information before the action, which feels quite generic, explodes into life. (I am not including the chase scene with the Tuk Tuks in that as it is very enjoyable).
Iman Vellani does a great job in the lead role as always.
Overall it feels a bit stop-start and slightly messy. The end reveal promises that next week could be very good, but it's difficult to know what to expect.
