The airport used is Stinson Municipal Airport (SSF), located in south San Antonio. The founders where two sisters and a brother who rented 500 acres for $5 per year to form the Stinson School of Flying in 1915. This became the second oldest airport in the United States of America.
The vintage aircraft on the tarmac in the airport scene is the "Yellow Rose," a Mitchell B-25J WWII bomber. You see this aircraft at the Commemorative Air Force, Central Texas Wing, located in San Marcos, Texas.
