The scene where Henry lets James in on Sir Topham Hatt inspecting the island for trees that are too close to the line fearing they may cause trouble might have been a response to Wilbert Awdry's criticism of "Henry's Forest" from the third series. The trees in the forest Henry visited in particular, were constructed too close to the tracks and could catch fire from the smoke and sparks from Henry's funnel.
