Ronda Rousey is no stranger to magazine spreads, having turned up in Espn’s The Body issue in the buff, and making the Maxim Hot 100, but she’s set the internet ablaze again thanks to an appearance in this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.
The spread leaves little to the imagination, and will no doubt bring even more eyeballs to Rousey, who is already basking in the spotlight thanks to her status as an undefeated Ufc champion, and appearing in several big Hollywood properties, including The Expendables 3, Fast 7, and the Entourage movie.
The full photoset has now been released online, and you can check it out here.
Meanwhile, speaking to USA Today’s For The Win about the Swimsuit special, Rousey said that

Updated With Full List Of Scripts, Writers, And Reps: Catherine The Great, about the rise and life of the famous (sometimes notorious) 18th-Century Russian monarch, was the top vote-getter among 70 scripts chosen for the 2014 Black List of the year’s best un-produced scripts. The screenplay, by Los Angeles writer and producer Kristina Lauren Anderson, was announced as part of an hour-plus process on Twitter and YouTube this morning.
Each of the 70 screenplays on this 10th annual list was chosen by a group of 250 development executives, agents and other Hollywood insiders as among the year’s best un-produced scripts in a process overseen by Franklin Leonard of http://www.blcklst.com. Anderson’s screenplay received 51 votes.
Other notables in the list include writer/actor/director Kenneth Lonergan with Manchester-By-The-Sea, which is being produced by Matt Damon and Chris Moore. Randall Green had two scripts make the list, The Swimsuit Issue and Cartoon Girl.

Boy, the old guard in late night TV just can't catch a break these days.
Following Jay Leno's second ousting at NBC for a younger model, David Letterman's finding himself losing a young model to a younger model. Yeesh.
Though Letterman's "Late Show" has been the home of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover reveal for the past six years, the magazine will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of its infamous cover elsewhere. ABC revealed on Monday (Feb. 10) that "Jimmy Kimmel Live" would be handling the exclusive reveal on Thursday's episode. (It's worth noting that Letterman is dark this week)
Additionally, this year's cover model will sit down with Kimmel in studio for an exclusive late-night interview on Feb. 17. The Swimsuit issue will be available across all platforms and on newsstands on Feb. 18.

"This is pretty freaking epic," says a voice in the teaser video for "Sports Illustrated: The Making of Swimsuit '13 -- 7 Continents, 17 Wonders," airing Feb. 17 on the Travel Channel.
The video opens up with Kate Upton and the Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit crew traversing snowy terrain in heavy parkas, and moves quickly to the curvy model stripping off her winter gear -- in slow-motion, of course -- to bear a furry white bikini. Yep, it's pretty epic.
The swimsuit issue made history in 2013 with Kate's topless parka-clad cover, shot in a remote area of Antarctica. Si: Swimsuit editor Mj Day has said the Travel Channel special lets viewers in on the "complete immersion," "all-access" experience the models and magazine crew got along their 90,000 air mile journey.
Upton has described an experience shooting in the extreme South Pole climate that sounds pretty terrifying, but you would never know she was miserable --...

Model Kate Upton has done it again. She is the cover girl for the 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue after gracing the magazine cover a year ago as well. Frankly, we like that the cover looks so natural -- no airbrushed on abs.
The swimsuit issue this year traveled to all seven continents to shoot the pictorials and it looks as though Upton was one of the polar bares down at the South Pole. Brrrr!

If you'll notice, the cover also name-drops Katherine Webb, the girlfriend of Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron who has rocketed to stardom after getting some camera time during the Bcs National Championship Game back on Jan. 7. She can also be seen on the upcoming ABC diving competition show "Splash."
What do you think of Upton's cover? Do you like it better than last year's cover? It's below, in case you need a refresher.

"The Resident" (2011)
Directed by Antti Jokinen
Released by Image Entertainment
This actually isn't the first time Hilary Swank has seen one of her films go direct to DVD after the films "Red Dust" and "Birds of America" suffered the same fate, but surely there was more riding on this horror film from the resurgent Hammer Films about a recently separated doctor who learns her Brooklyn loft isn't quite as wonderful as she thought it would be. "Secretary" screenwriter Erin Cressida Wilson co-wrote this film, which co-stars Christopher Lee, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Lee Pace.
"The Mikado" (1939)

Released by Criterion Collection
"Topsy-Turvy" (1999)
Directed by Mike Leigh

Sold separately, Criterion is making no secret of trying to appeal to Gilbert and Sullivan fanatics with special editions of "The Mikado," a straight-up adaptation of the musical duo's most famous opera, and Mike Leigh's "Topsy-Turvy,...

Chicago – We have now reached the fourth and final week of the 13th Annual European Union Film Festival at the Siskel Film Center, and what a fantastic festival it has been. From international sensations to critically acclaimed gems rarely available in the Us, the EU annual line-up is consistently one of the finest offered by any festival in the Windy City.
The first three weeks were loaded with highlights that just seemed to get better as the days progressed. Some of the selections, such as Austria’s diabolical delight “The Bone Man” and the Netherlands’ beguiling documentary “Rembrandt’s J’Accuse,” were more entertaining than the majority of mainstream Hollywood releases. Both France and Italy had several exceptional entries this year, including Amos Gitai’s spellbinding “Disengagement” and Luca Guadagnino’s ravishing “I Am Love.” Read more here, here and here.

Note: This piece was originally published during the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival. The Swimsuit Issue is now available at home via Tribeca Film: on DVD, iTunes, Netflix Instant, and more. Director Mans Herngren had cinephiles grinning when they exited the theater after Thursday night's screening of The Swimsuit Issue. The film follows eight middle-aged jocks as they come together to create Sweden's first all-male synchronized swimming team. The team's leader and founder is Fredrik, played by the talented Jonas Inde. Fredrik is a divorced and unemployed journalist who is fired by his female editor. His daughter, played by the equally engaging and beautiful Amanda Davin, is a synchronized swimmer who comes to live with Fredrik when her mother moves to London for work. After Fredrik loses his venue for playing indoor hockey to a female team, he decides to use his daughter's swimming uniform for an evening of drunken bachelor party antics.

(Sorry to get your hopes up, Sports Illustrated fans. This movie is not relevant to your interests.)
You may be familiar with the type of movie where a group of lovable losers get together to do something you wouldn't expect people like them to do, and therein lies the comedy. You had out-of-shape men stripping in The Full Monty, and old ladies posing nude in Calendar Girls, and a retired gentleman swimming the English Channel in On a Clear Day. These movies always seem to be British, but you will be pleased to know that now the Swedes have gotten in on the act!
The Swimsuit Issue is about a group of ordinary men of varying ages and physiques who combine to create Sweden's first all-male synchronized swimming team. You can see why that's very funny: They're Men, but they're doing Synchronized Swimming! There really isn't much to it beyond that.
