A Western subject that is original in plot and theme. It contains a pretty love story but the offering as a whole is not convincing and embraces several absurd scenes that are apparent to the. spectator. The exterior scenes were interesting and finely photographed. It will please a casual observer who only looks, but does not analyze. When the spectator discovers the location of the "Tell-Tale Star" he or she will probably ejaculate "Oh, Gee!" - The Moving Picture World, March 28, 1914
