How TV Changed Britain
jboothmillard9 August 2008
Warning: Spoilers
This wasn't just a programme to enjoy some good clips of well know genre programmes, but it was an insight of how TV focusing on certain subjects have shaped and formed our opinions of the things focused. With celebrity opinions on the programmes, and the insight on how the programmes have created ideas of the subjects focused. The subjects included Cops (the police force in all genres), Fame (becoming famous on reality shows), Women (how we see women in the workplace, at home and other things), Property (building, refurbishing and selling houses on TV), Teens (how we see teenagers talk, work and live), and Intelligence (game shows). It is interesting to see how certain British things are given opinions by celebrities, and it can make you think about programmes as more than just entertainment (of some kind or another). Narrated by Green Wing's Stephen Mangan. Very good!
