Believe it or not, those who have read the Twilight Saga find that the books are not as steamy as the movies portray. The movies took a step ahead to show that aspect of Edward and Bella’s relationship, and although many fans didn’t complain, there was something that didn’t sit right with Kristen Stewart, who was very particular and consistent with the guidelines that maintain a PG-13 rating.

Being primarily marketed towards a younger demographic, mostly teens and tweens, the novels were crafted by Stephenie Meyer with the intention of not delving much into explicit content while keeping it tasteful. It’s a fairly packed month on Hulu this February thanks to the addition of some interesting TV shows from FX and ABC. While the streamer’s own original content is somewhat limited – Life + Beth is returning for season 2 – you can also catch the new series of Feud this month. The new installment in Ryan Murphy’s juicy anthology show is based on the bestseller Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era by Laurence Leamer, and tells the story of Truman Capote’s betrayal and fall-out with New York’s most glamorous socialites. The cast is absolutely stacked, with Naomi Watts, Diane Lane, Chloë Sevigny and Calista Flockhart all swearing delicious revenge on Tom Hollander’s Capote.
Also via Hulu in February comes the third season of Abbott Elementary, along with new episodes of The Connors, The Good Doctor, Will Trent,...

"I've never given much thought to how I would die, but dying in the place of someone I love seems like a good way to go." Now that's how you start a franchise!
Since 2008, the "Twilight" films have been a cultural mainstay for better and for worse. A film so beloved that cosmetics companies are selling out of "Twilight"-inspired collections in under 10 minutes 15 years later, and so hated that it inspired the $20 million studio-produced parody film "Vampires Suck." Few multi-billion dollar franchises are quite this polarizing, and even fewer have had as powerful of a cultural reclamation years later. Love them or hate them, the "Twilight" films are one of the most important products of the late 2000s and 2010s, and no amount of whining about vampires sparkling or commenting "still a better love story than 'Twilight'" is going to change that.
There has been talk that...

The 2010 San Diego Comic-Con was not the biggest gathering in the event's history, but in terms of its importance as a movie marketing event, this was the freakin' year. The gargantuan, hangar-sized Hall H, christened in 2004 as the home for star-studded studio panels, was packed on both peak days as major stars and filmmakers shilled the next two years' most anticipated genre titles. Friday was all about "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," which, with all its major stars present, turned into a shriek-filled presentation as deafening as The Beatles' 1964 appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show."
And then there was Saturday.
Warner Bros. kicked off the Hall H festivities with a buzzy panel that could've matched the "Twilight" delirium had the main Harry Potter trio of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint showed up for the "Deathly Hallows: Part I" preview. The day threatened to descend into chaos when a...

Fangs, Forks, Washington and fall, oh my! The five “Twilight Saga” films set the mood for the fall season, so as Halloween nears, get ahead with the movie nights and marathons so that you have ample time to absorb all the broody, bloody love story this season. Fall is the perfect time to re-invest in the love triangle and vampire vs. werewolf drama that the five films, adapted from Stephanie Meyer’s four books, have to offer.
Come for Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s romance, and stay for Taylor Lautner’s eager portrayal of Jacob the werewolf in the latter four films. Dakota Fanning makes a great member of the Volturi. Plus, now that the WGA has a deal with the AMPTP, the reboot television series of “Twilight” over at Lionsgate might start back up again soon.

Sony had been planning to give director Chris Weitz’s horror film They Listen a theatrical release on August 25th of this year, which is why we have it listed on our Summer Horror Movie Preview… but we’re going to have to remove it from that list, because Sony has (according to Yahoo) decided to delay the release an entire year. They Listen is now set to reach theatres on August 30, 2024.

While it might seem that Fast X has run out of gas in the States, it’s totally turbo-boosted overseas as the 10th installment in the Universal franchise is eyeing a an offshore start of $235M and $60M+ domestic. That would get Fast X to $295M worldwide, making it the third-best global start for a Fast & Furious movie after 2017’s Fate of the Furious ($541.9M) and 2015’s Furious 7 ($397.6M).
And that’s nothing to be ashamed about despite any smacking of franchise fatigue. It’s a start that would beat such movies such as Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Justice League, and The Twilight Saga: New Moon. As always, Fast X is a part of multicultural-appealing jewel crown for Universal and will overindex stateside with Latino, Hispanic and Black moviegoers.

Well, Twilight fans: looks like the wolf's out of the bag. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a TV adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's bestselling book series is currently in the works at Lionsgate Television, per sources.
The series is reportedly in early development with very few confirmed details, including a network/platform or a writer, but insiders told THR that Meyer is expected to be involved. Wyck Godfrey and former Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Copresident Erik Feig are also said to be attached to executive produce the television project. Reps for Lionsgate did not immediately respond to Popsugar's request for comment.
Meyer's Twilight series became a groundbreaking pop culture phenomenon in the mid-2000s that produced five blockbuster movies - "Twilight," "New Moon," "Eclipse," and "Breaking Dawn - Part 1" and "Part 2" - starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner. The franchise's fandom launched each actor to stardom, and the...

The Twilight Saga ran its course on the big screen, with five movies telling the story of the four books in author Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series. While there are some side stories and reimaginings that could still be brought to the screen, the main tale has been told. Now ten and a half years have gone by since the release of the last film in the franchise… and that means the story is ripe for a re-telling. That’s clearly what Lionsgate Television believes, anyway, as The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that a Twilight TV series is in development!
The Hollywood Reporter notes that the Twilight TV series is in its infancy and does not yet have a network/platform or a writer as sources say the studio, which controls the rights to the franchise, plans to lead the development on the project before shopping the rights to the package.

Anna Kendrick is known for her roles in blockbuster movies like the Pitch Perfect franchise, Trolls, and A Simple Favor. However, many fans remember her appearance in the Twilight movies — including one scene that involved a graduation speech that Kendrick revealed was supposed to be improvised.

Kendrick played Jessica Stanley in the mega-popular Twilight films. Jessica was one of main character Bella’s (played by Kristen Stewart) high school friends and appeared in New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn — Part 1.
In Eclipse, Kendrick delivers a standard valedictorian speech, discussing growing up and figuring out who the students want to be when they grow up. The actor stayed on script while filming the scene but recently revealed the producers wanted her to do something a little different.
Just wanted to wish Anna Kendrick a happy birthday before it hits #Twilight.

Anna Kendrick is just delightful. From her recent appearance on "Hot Ones" to showing up in things like Stephen Colbert's "The Lord of the Rings" rap for the trilogy's 20th anniversary (where she is given a hard time for being in the "Twilight" movies) she is always a whole lot of fun to watch. Kendrick is promoting her new film, "Alice, Darling," where she plays a woman dealing with an emotionally abusive relationship. She recently sat down with Vanity Fair to watch clips of her old films like "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World," "Pitch Perfect," "Camp," and "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," where she voiced her thoughts on her graduation speech in the latter.
Kendrick played the relatively small role of Jessica, one of Bella Swan's (Kristen Stewart) human friends in the town of Forks, Washington. If you recall the film, it's the end of high school for Bella,...

Taylor Lautner said on a recent episode of “The Toast” podcast that his relationship with Robert Pattinson was “definitely” impacted by the rivalry between their “Twilight” characters, the vampire Edward Cullen (Pattinson) and the werewolf Jacob Black (Lautner). The “Twilight” fandom created a massive frenzy over the rivalry, with “Team Jacob” and “Team Edward” merchandise and social media groups popping up all over the place as the franchise’s protagonist, Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), grew close to both characters during the first three films.
“I feel like I’d be lying if I said no,” Lautner said when asked if the “Team Edward” vs. “Team Jacob” debate affected him during his “Twilight” years (via Insider). “I was so young. I was 16 when ‘Twilight’ came out, 17 for ‘New Moon’ and ‘Eclipse.’ I finished the franchise by the time I was 19.”

The final weekend of January 2023 is in the books (January always seems to go fast) and Avatar: The Way of Water will close out the first month of the year the same way it closed out the last month of last year: on top! With an additional 15.7 million added to its impressive domestic total of 620.5 million, which officially puts the James Cameron sequel into the top ten all time domestic earners. Quite the feat when you consider it opened to less than The Twilight Saga: New Moon (the angsty vampire sequel starring a young Batman opened to 142.8 million while Avatar 2 opened to 134.1 million).
Of course the real story is in the worldwide grosses where Avatar: The Way of Water has amassed an impressive 2.09 billion where it has taken over the number four spot on the list from Star Wars: The Force Awakens and is only about 100 million away from...

Never underestimate the ability of the academy to deliver some truly jaw-dropping citations (and omissions) on Oscar nominations morning. The announcement of the nominees for the 95th ceremony certainly did not disappoint in that respect, as major contenders in the Best Picture, acting, and technical categories were overlooked in favor of some unexpected picks. See the list of contenders we wrongly predicted below.
See 2023 Oscar nominations full list: ‘Everything Everywhere’ leads with 11, including Best Picture
One of our biggest blunders was overestimating the strength of Darren Aronofsky‘s “The Whale.” While the film did land three major nominations for lead Brendan Fraser, supporting player Hong Chau, and Makeup and Hairstyling, our combined odds also expected it to nab slots in Best Picture and Adapted Screenplay for Samuel D. Hunter, who brought his play of the same name to the screen. Perhaps precursors BAFTA and Critics Choice led us astray by...
