- When Orson is admitted to the hospital after he attempts to rob an old woman whose house he breaks into, he's confident that nobody will believe her because of her senile personality. But later, Bree becomes suspicious of the truth, but keeps it to herself. Meanwhile, Tom and Gabrielle square-off against one another when Tom joins Gabrielle's new gardening club and she worries about a fellow member flirting with Tom, while Carlos saves Lynette after she falls and hits her head in the shower. Dave goes into a decline over Edie's death, and when Susan pays a visit to cheer him up, she discovers his handgun he's been plotting to kill Katherine with. But naturally drawing the wrong conclusion, thinking that Dave intends to kill himself, Susan steals the gun and as with her klutzy wout, ends up getting pulled over and arrested. Also, Katherine pressures Mike to move forward with their romance to the next level, and Dave eventually learns that he's been targeting the wrong Whisteria Lane resident and now targets Susan.—matt-282

- "Desperate Housewives" - "Rose's Turn" - April 26, 2009
The night of Edie's death, Orson had been in the process of breaking into an older woman's home on the Lane named Rose. She whacked him with a baseball bat across the noggin and as she was going to call 911 she saw him rip off his ski mask, almost get run over by Edie, and Edie slam in to the light pole. Then Rose had a heart attack.
The next day Katherine visits Rose in the hospital and the older woman starts babbling about how Death came into her home and tried to steal one of her knicknacks and then caused Edie's accident. Katherine thinks she's cuckoo.
Turns out Orson is in the room across the hall and he overhears this and thinks she's not cuckoo. The doctor tells Orson- who has said he tripped and hit his head on the curb- he can go home this weekend. Bree doesn't seem very happy about this. She tells Orson she loves him but is tired of the lies and stealing. He tells her it's over because he has chosen happiness. She wants to believe him but isn't sure she can. He promises things will be better.
Susan, Lynette, Katherine, and Gaby try to visit Dave to comfort him but he doesn't answer the door. Mike visits him later but Dave, deep in his cups and full of rage tells Mike he has no idea how he's feeling and to go back to his happy little life with Katherine.
Lynette, still working long hours for Carlos, returns home to a hot and horny Tom, who has been working out and is showing off his guns. She says no, he pushes, she finally says okay but she's just going to lie there. He's okay with that and then she gets mad and pushes him off. She had mentioned she'd taken a shower and he wonders where. Carlos' office she replies. Tom says he doesn't like the idea of her being naked in Carlos' bathroom, especially since she already spends so much time with him. Lynette agrees not to do it again.
Gaby has joined a garden club but is disappointed to learn it involves actual gardening, thanks to a chirpy, drill sergeant of a housewife who runs it. She and a couple of other ladies grumble how they thought it was going to just be margarita drinking and looking at flowers. They decide to stage a coup. Turns out the evil leader has a stranglehold on half the ladies while Gaby can round up the other half. They need a tiebreaker and Gaby sees Tom jog by and gets an idea.
Carlos comes by to pick up Lynette but she's still in the shower. He calls up to her their meeting has been moved up. She hollers she'll be right down and then drops the soap and falls. Carlos goes upstairs and finds her unconscious in the tub. He calls a doctor who says she should be fine since she wasn't out long. Lynette insists she wants to come to work but first would like to know how she got where she is from the tub. Carlos says he carried her. She's naked and freaked. He says of course his only concern was if she was okay. She asks if they can keep this a secret from Tom since he wouldn't be pleased. He agrees.
At the next meeting of the garden club it would appear Gaby's coup is complete as she's handing out margaritas in her living room. Edna's not happy. One of Gaby's friends, Patty, is admiring Tom's biceps. Gaby calls him in the kitchen and thanks him for his help and tells him he can skedaddle. He says he's having fun. She points out Patty is a predator when it comes to married men. Tom says it will be fine.
Andrew can't believe Bree is trusting Orson's "I choose happiness" line reminding her of all the terrible things he's done. Bree says she knows but she's trying to make her marriage work. Andrew says he'll start researching divorce lawyers.
Orson plants seeds in his doctor's head Rose Kemper is demented, has no family, and could possibly be a danger to herself and others in order to get her committed and keep anyone from believing her story about "death."
Mike comes to pick up MJ from Susan's and relays his tale from visiting Dave. He says he can understand if you'd just lost your wife you might not want to be around happy, loving couples. He then asks Susan if she'd look in on him. They both get the implication and he apologizes. Susan says Edie's death has brought up the bad memories of her and Mike's fatal accident. Mike says they did what they had to do. Susan points out it broke them up. Mike is sympathetic, he picks up MJ and gives her a kind look as he departs, telling her to take care of herself.
Susan goes to visit Dave with sandwiches and he is less than receptive. And hints his life is over. He says he's selling the house and putting the money in trust for Travers. She goes to put the food she brought away and comes upon a gun in the kitchen. Which of course she picks up and makes her nervous. She tries to distract him but he tells her to take off. She claims she's going to clean up and takes the gun, all his belts and ties, and all his pills and knives so he won't kill himself. As she leaves she's pulled over for talking on her cell phone. The cop sees the basket and asks her to step out of the car. He has her down the ground and in cuffs as Katherine drives by.
Gaby notices Patty driving Tom home. He says his car's in the shop. He's annoyed Gaby thinks he's going to cheat on Lynette. She forbids him from seeing Patty. He calls it ridiculous and tells her to piss off.
Bree comes to pick up Orson from the hospital. She runs into Katherine who's taking Rose to a nursing home. Katherine relays the "death stole my knicknack" story. Bree recognizes who "death" is.
The Solis' and the Scavos are having dinner. The dinner is in honor of Lynette's hard work. Carlos toasts business and friendship. Lynette asks about garden club. Tom and Gaby have a veiled argument about shovels, rakes and, um hoe's. Inevitably, through a comic misunderstanding- Tom mentions Lynette and a shower, referring to Carlos' office bathroom- Carlos thinks Lynette told Tom about the fall in the shower after all. It all comes out and Tom is angry. Lynette gets mad when she realizes Carlos told Gaby. Carlos says they talk about everything. Tom points out to Lynette full disclosure is the way to go. Gaby wonders if Tom "disclosed" his "friendship" with Patty. Lynette is aghast. They agree to have the conversation later. Gaby asks why Carlos always comes home stinky if he has a shower at work. Carlos asks why the dinner tastes like sawdust. Good times among the married folk.
Bree brings Orson home and gives him tea. She asks about his story about walking late at night again and bumping his head on a curb. She asks again if that's all he was doing, going out for a walk. He says that's it. Bree says she has to discuss some business with Andrew. She goes to him and tells him she's going to divorce Orson. Andrew just wants to know how he can help.
In bed Katherine and Mike talk about how sad they are about Dave. They talk about life turning on a dime and not wanting to live with regrets. Katherine admits asking him to move in wasn't about saving rent it was about trying to manipulate a closer commitment. She says she will no longer have hidden agendas and will always be honest with him since, after all he's the guy she's going to spend the rest of her life with. He is surprised by this revelation.
Susan comes back with Dave's belts and ties, the cops kept the gun and pills. He says he's fine and for her to leave. She walks in and says he's allowed to feel how he feels but she knows he's not fine. Dave admits he and Edie had a fight before she stormed off and died. Susan says it's not his fault. He says it is. She says if he doesn't let this go it will destroy everything good in him and to trust her, she knows. He insists she doesn't. She relays the tale of her and Mike's car accident, which of course he knows since it killed his wife and daughter. Turns out it was actually Susan driving, not Mike. Dave starts to quietly freak out. She says she didn't have her license that night and Mike took the blame for her so she understands guilt. Dave hugs her and thanks her for telling him.
Carlos and Lynette joke about the horrible dinner party. She says next time to let her die in the tub. Carlos thinks it's sweet after all their years of marriage she and Tom still get jealous. Lynette says they should never speak of it again since she's so embarrassed. Carlos says he saw her without her towel and she has nothing to be embarrassed about.
Tom runs into Gaby while jogging. They mend fences. Tom admits he enjoyed Patty coming on to him since Lynette has been so busy. Gaby says she knows exactly how it feels and points out she cheated on Carlos. Tom says he would never. Gaby says she didn't think she would either. He says he's grateful to have someone to keep an eye on him. Gaby jokes she's thirsty so they should start a book club.
Mary Alice returns to tell us about people covering things up: a woman's need for commitment (Katherine and Mike); men disguising insecurity (Tom and Lynette); wives masking disdain (Bree and Orson). How do they do it successfully? All it takes is a friendly gesture and a plan she says, as Dave approaches MJ who is playing in the street with his ball. Dave retrieves the ball and tells MJ he can't play in the street because he might get hurt and that would tear his mom up and then gives him the meaningful look of doom.
