Under the pact, the studio will develop a project for the That ‘70s Show alum to star in and produce. Valderrama will start meeting with writers next week and will consider both comedy and drama projects. He may also bring his own show ideas or opt to board a project that is already in development at the studio. If the project Valderrama is attached to does not get a green light, 20th TV can cast him in another pilot for next season. The deal extends Valderrama’s relationship with 20th TV. Would you take love advice from Wilmer Valderrama??
That 70s Show veteran Wilmer Valderrama has returned from his lengthy sitcom hiatus to play Selena Gomez’s uncle for an episode of Wizards of Waverly Place most likely airing this summer, and feels as protective of his young co-star as if she were actually part of his family!
“I met Selena many years ago when she was about to launch the show, and when [Wizard producers] told me the role was on Selena’s show, I said ‘of course!’” Wilmer told us March 10 at the Maldef and VotoLatino Multimedia Censius 2010 Campaign Launch in Los Angeles, Calif.
Wilmer, 30, and Selena, 17, have grown extremely close over the years. “I became Selena’s honorary older brother and it’s been really great, I keep in touch with the kids – they call me Uncle Ernesto!”
However, duties as honorary older bro come with certain restrictions.

Fox has picked up 13 episodes of hourlong musical comedy "Glee" for midseason.
The 20th Television show co-created by Ryan Murphy ("Nip/Tuck") is under consideration for a post-"American Idol" slot.
"I've had one of the best experiences of my career with Ryan Murphy doing 'Nip/Tuck' and we're excited to re-create that experience here," said Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly, who formerly led programming at FX. "The second he pitched us 'Glee,' it was like he had it in his sights yet again. It's got his trademark wicked sense of humor and its heart in the right place and feels like a show for the times."
"Glee" centers on Will (Matthew Morrison), a thirtysomething Spanish teacher at an Ohio high school who has the task of taking over the school's glee club, which has become a haven for outcasts. The project was co-written by Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan,...

Fox's half-hour space comedy "Boldly Going Nowhere" and the hourlong musical comedy "Glee" appear close to series pickups.
That's the word from the network's screenings held Thursday and Friday.
As part of its split development season, Fox brass are viewing four pilots: the 20th TV-produced "Boldly," "Glee" and "Ernesto" and Ums/BermanBraun's "Virtuality."
The execs are said to be very high on "Boldly" -- which hails from the "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" trio of Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton -- and on Ryan Murphy's "Glee," whose cut-down 44-minute version of the pilot is being well received.
"Boldly" and "Glee" can go into production quickly because their pilot orders were accompanied by a pickup of additional scripts. With its setting at a high school glee club as well as musical numbers, "Glee" is being eyed for a post-"American Idol" slot.
Meanwhile, the Wilmer Valderrama-starring drama "Ernesto" is not expected to go forward.
