It's fantasy folks!
boomer-kris7 June 2021
Why the negative reviews, people? It's fantasy, and comparing the characters to real animals is ridiculous. The plot taking a turn is necessary for the furtherance of the storyline.

Boy it goes horribly wrong

So if you're here you know the first episode was excellent and the second very good. However, you'll also know that there were warning signs when the woefully bad Stefania Owen's character Bear appeared in the third episode. Subsequently, this episode turns into a complete hotchpotch, Stranger Things meets The 100 meets dystopia meets happy clappy twaddle. Seriously, young adults watching Looney Tunes then the family watching Animal Farm, a killer dressed as a panda, then the troubled scientist agreeing to keep weeds down in his front lawn.

Animals forever the so called good guys chant, whilst keeping a tiger locked in a closed container. Seriously, talk about falling off a cliff.

Questionable

Warning: Spoilers
What in the name of Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers was going on in this episode? First of, the Animal warrior people are just rebellious, angsty furries who wish they were Hybrids and think they have absolute authority now that everyone's dead. So let me get this straight, they were going to sentence Jepperd to death but Bear had a change of heart and Gus could talk to tigers...? This scene was supposed to be the most climatic but it was absolutely, solemnly, wholeheartedly atrocious. And then Nancie got kicked by a horse and died in front of the Singh's house after they had a spat? This episode sabotages everything this series was building itself towards. 3 stars for Gus and Jepperd's cute friendship, and that ambiguous attempt at CGI bear Bobby (I mean straight up, that bear belongs in Five Nights at Freddy's). I'm just going to pretend this episode didn't happen.

Super teens with crappy CGI tiger.
sonybacker-2149317 June 2021
I liked two first episodes but starting with 3rd and 4th episode it feels like it's was made mostly for teenagers. It's beautifully filmed and I'll probably stick with it but I don't really like super teens and etc. The worst thing in this episode was the CGI Tiger though, you'll know what I mean when you'll see it.

Why?
Ze_Gypsy10 June 2021
The show started out great, but now the writing all of the sudden has become terrible. A teenage furry gang with terrible dialogue who somehow can kill adult soldiers with guns by running at them with knifes? Why ? I hope this sub-plot is over fast and the show can return to what made the first three episodes great.

Hard turn toward stupid
travis-a-greene6 June 2021
Just like in the wild a Deer asks a Tiger not to eat his friend and the Tiger obliges. Show was very promising in the beginning but time and time again the characters do non sensical things. The show is full of errors like this and it devolves in to the worst kind of YA novel.

yeah this got bad
I really enjoyed the first two episodes, as soon as the third one started and i saw that fake-ass VR game i knew it was going to get bad, it is just like stranger things season two part with those other super powered teens, i hope the show can go back to what made the first two episodes so good.

Lost boys but even more unbelievable
saintruthanne14 June 2021
5 because Gus is such a good actor.

"Bear" and her gang are so ill conceived and unbelievable. Her dialogue was cringey and forced.

I enjoy this series because it is for the most part a realistic portrayal of what might happen in this situation, however you have to majorly suspend your disbelief with this episode.

Enough with know-it-all-teens, THANKS WE HATE THEM.

Wow how did it come to this??
bburton-5901510 June 2021
Such an amazing start, and then we get THIS? Unbelievably horrible acting from the "furries", and nonsensical doesn't even begin to describe the writing.

I'm done after this episode.

An otherwise-astounding cast
SureCommaNot14 June 2021
Let's be honest

The cast is overall pretty astounding. Pubba and Gus. The doctor and his wife. Excellently cast! ...

But Bear and Wendy are distractingly, deflatingly bad.

Show has been great so far
lockout-5950629 October 2021
I have been really enjoying this show but this episode turned me off a little bit. There were several comments about men being bad. This narrative is getting old. It seems like almost every show on the air ways is bashing men these days. I watch film to be entertained, not have some political / woke nonesense shoved down my throat. Hope it sticks to what it is and stops trying to inject woke ideals into it.
