This is the only episode in this season so far that made me say "holy ***t" at the end. What a story! I really enjoyed this episode and even more than I've enjoyed the previous ones because this one was just well put together and the story was better than the other one, and I know how everything ties to this one, but I'm just disappointed with what they could have done with this much potential in the prior episodes. Compared to Hill House this series doesn't have any element of horror and there more drama and romance than horror, but this episode showed how much potential there was to make an excellent horror like Hill House but they didn't. The plague doctor's ghost alone could've made the series more terrifying like the ghosts in Hill House and then when we would get to this episode we would see the origin of the ghost and the "gravity" of the manor and it would've made it more impactful.
Otherwise, on it's own, this episode has a really good and engaging story with good visuals and twists, but it's a shame that the rest of the season wasn't as good as this one.
