Eric Pertilla is joining Endeavor Content to become its vice president of television development and production.
He was most recently director of original content at CBS All Access for the past two years, where he oversaw Richard Linklater series “That Animal Rescue Show” and led development of “The Twilight Zone,” “Star Trek: Discovery,” “The Good Fight,” and “Texas 6.”
“Endeavor Content presents a tremendous opportunity to work with one of the industry’s most artist-driven and forward-thinking companies, under the exceptional leadership of Joe, Chris, and Graham,” said Pertilla. “I’m grateful for the opportunity I had to work with Julie McNamara and the incredibly talented executives and talent across ViacomCBS, and look forward to helping Endeavor Content continue its ascent as one of the industry’s most exciting and disruptive content studios.”
Prior to his time at All Access, Pertilla was a talent manager at Mosaic and a motion picture literary agent at Paradigm.

Next to my couch, I have one of those workplace safety tally boards reading “Days Since the Last Docuseries About the Trials and Tribulations of Amateur Football.” It’s time to set the count back to “0.”
I mean, I don’t actually have one of those workplace safety tally boards, but if I did, it would have reflected the time elapsed since the November premieres of HBO’s The Cost of Winning and CBS All Access’ Texas 6 — a gap of almost exactly two months that ends with the arrival of Netflix’s We Are: The ...

CBS All Access has been integrated into Comcast’s Xfinity X1 pay-tv offering in a first for the five-year-old ViacomCBS streaming service.
Xfinity had added the subscription outlet to its Flex broadband video bundle earlier this year. It is the first pay-tv operator to carry the streaming service, a noteworthy moment in the evolution of streaming. When CBS first announced it was going “over-the-top,” the initiative was seen as a way for the legacy broadcaster to reach cord-cutters or cord-nevers.
Five years later, the original programming offerings of subscription services like All Access (which will be rebranded as Paramount+ in early 2021) are seen as viable extensions of pay-tv subscriptions rather than either-or propositions.
More than 20,000 episodes and movies from BET, CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Pictures and other brands are offered on CBS All Access. Original programming on the service includes docuseries Texas 6 and Star Trek: Discovery, whose new episodes premiere every Thursday.

CBS All Access has called a new play for the football-themed docuseries Texas 6. The streamer said this morning that the unscripted show earned a Season 2 renewal less than a week after its premiere.
Created by Jared Christopher, follows the Greyhounds, a high school 6-man football team under the direction of Coach Dewaine Lee as they attempt a three-peat for the 6-Man Football State Championship. While football remains the spine of Strawn, TX, the series ultimately depicts the spirit of a small town and a team that shows up for one another on and off the field.
The first three episodes of Texas 6 premiered on Thanksgiving Day, and new episodes will be available on-demand on Thursdays beginning this week. The Season 1 finale will bow on New Year’s Eve. Watch a trailer for the inaugural season below.
