When this series started i was surprised to see how meticulously all the technology was shown. It was all very well and correctly done. The spacecrafts looked just fine and the flight controllers did their job well and correctly.
But with each episode they brought in space flight technologies, procedures and feats that were just not possible or feasible.
For example: It was not possible for a LSAM to lift amd land so many times as were shown in the last episodes of season one. There were no fuel left and there were no fuel tanks shown outside the moonbase to fill the tanks.
And when Apollo 24 failed to ignite the engine of the S- IVB and go for TLI, it would have caused an immediate abort along the mission rules.
And now in this episode they show astronauts traveling towards Earth in a space shuttle . It is not possible to land on the moon or take off frim the surface of the Moon with a Space Shuttle. It is meant only for short distances and it requires lots of energy and fuel and needs to be launched vertically and definitely there are jo runways on the moon where it can land!
The creators of this series do not care about authenticity or technical constraints at all. And that is a big shame. Or they could at least fill the plot holes by just showing these techniques to the viewers.
That could make the series look more interesting ans convincing.
A colossal letdown!
