Really Picking Up The Pace Now
alkhawammarie28 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode features some of the most shocking scenes from the final season so far, it's revealed that Vincent and his mistress were murdered by this mysterious man in a mask, this mysterious man also steals the laptop and hard drive given by Maddie to Vincent. By far the most shocking moment from this episode was seeing the masked man shoot Honey Chandler and is later revealed that he stole her hard drive too.

This episode also sees the return of Detective Robertson and his partner, it's always good seeing Robertson again as he was notably absent last season. Jerry is still on the decline as he was late to work once again and can't seem to maintain a love life with Robertson's partner. The tension when Maddie entered Honey Chandler's house despite Bosch's orders not to was fantastic and very well acted.

Overall this was a very good episode with some great moments, I can't wait to see the remaining episodes.

great episode

Warning: Spoilers
As always Bosch delivers some great action but as expected the girl didn't listen to her dad.. what are the odds you would get inside the house after your dad, a detective, told you not to. I'm pretty sure you would just drive away as you don't have plot armor to shield you from harm.

Another thing I noticed is how they portray males and females regarding dealing with feelings and stuff. Boyfriend is just trying to get her to vent her stressfull day and she gets annoyed and starts calling an uber. Boyfriend gets chastised into saying he's sorry. On other shows, when the guy doesn't wanna talk about his emotions, he gets brow beaten by the wife and usually thrown outta home.. take military shows like seal team, for example. Funny huh

Well, overall great episode from an excellent show.. a couple of storylines going at once and that's ok too.

OMG. We open here with a hit. O RLY????

Pew Pew Pew and OMG a main character is dead. Well, sorta main, anyway.

I Got A Feeling That I Can't Let Go.....

As we move on we find that Honey Chandler may survive the shooting. Her client however, very dead.

And blah blah blah til the end of the ep. Where we see Harry and Jerry again seemingly on the same page working their game. 7/10.

Maddie in Turmoil
Hitchcoc25 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Three people are shot. The pyramid guy, his hooker, and Honey. Maddie is in the middle because she is an intermediary as Honey's law clerk. She discover's Honey, shot on the hallway floor. It is obvious that she could be in grave danger. She is interviewed extensively. The Lieutenant continues her search for the cops who are attacking her in a cowardly fashion. She is getting no support from the rank and file, but rather antagonism.

Eventful episode with compelling moments

Chandler's investigation takes a dramatic turn.

There is very little I can say about the main plot threads of this episode without spoiling, but it is safe to say that it involves good tension in the main cases that looks likely to impact the future of some of the main characters. I want to find out what's happens, so "good storytelling" to the writers and filmmakers. I like the reintroduction of a character from a few seasons back and he along with his partner are great.

The scenes involving Billets are reasonably good as it looks like some detective work might be required to get to the bottom of the situation. For this to have a satisfying outcome there would need to be some sort of clever conspiracy revealed, otherwise it will feel a bit melodramatic.

Again the Irvings are at home chatting as their baby lies in hospital. I still struggle with these scenes as they feel distractingly implausible. I thought it was just me at first, but I have since asked the question of several sets of responsible parents. They all agree that even if they were not permitted in the hospital ward, one parent would always be camped outside in the waiting room.

For me it's a 7.5/10, but I round upwards.
