This one is sort of known as the old stop getting nosy plot. Jerry & Suzie, sick of their mothers butting in on their young lives decide to move out of their garage apartment. Jerry finds a friend who can sub-let them an apartment, sight unseen.

The new place looks like something that is even worse than Ralph & Alice's apartment on the Honeymooners. For 3 days, the parents leave the kids alone. Then they all arrive at the apartment to check it out.

There is a huge wardrobe in the apartment which is being moved out and somehow all the in in-laws get locked into it trying to hide from the kids the fact they are getting into their lives again.

In the end, the kids decide to move back to the garage apartment at the folks realizing no matter how far they move, they aren't going to get away from their parents.

Warning: Spoilers
Long before Sally Struthers cried loudly as Gloria on "All in the Family", Debra Watson gives a similar whale as Suze in this episode that focuses on her and Jerry, well at least until Eve and Kay get their claws into the plot. The premise has them tired of their mother's interference, and they decide to sublet the apartment of two friends who are moving to England. Kay and Eve of course assume that something else is up when they call a family meeting, and of course it involves a little bundle. But before the two mothers-in-law can start knitting booties, they learned the truth and of course are not happy.

After spending a week constantly forgetting that the kids have moved, Kay and Eve separately sneak over to make sure things that are okay, and this is where the comedy ensues. Herb and Roger also follow, and this gets them all into a jam as they hide in the giant movable closet. The laughs in this episode rival the earlier meatball incident, and of course, Eve and Kay sneaking into apartment is a repeated gag of several previous episodes as well. When her Barrage at the apartment, he has a very amusing grin as if he knows he's pulling the type of scheme his wife would, what is falsely confident that he will get away with it. When Roger shows up, you could almost change the name of this to "The Fathers-in-Law" because they prove themselves to be just as bad as the mothers-in-law, and it's twice as funny. Or should I say four times as funny?
