Well, no, but Sneaky Snake unflinchingly takes on the seemingly intractable bigotry of all sides with often hilarious results. Christian, Muslim, Jew - none is safe from the dryer escapee who has made it through the looking glass. "Sneaky Snake: Lost in the Holy Land" features a foul-mouthed but oddly lovable sock puppet - think wise guy Bender from Futurama trying to pass as Lambchop (look up Shari Lewis if you don't know who Lambchop was) and you get the idea. The result is sometimes shocking (did he really say that?) but always fun.
Shawn Curran's lively characterizations and spot-on timing bring energy and interest to what is essentially a guy with a camcorder following a sock puppet around. I can only dream that somewhere up there Shari Lewis and Edgar Bergen are watching and laughing their asses off.
