Heading for the Peak

Kate turns out to be weak, abused by her uncle, she can't shake the abuse. There is little discovery in this episode so I guess we wait for now. Billie is going to run out options but there will be an eleventh hour. Like most of these shows, I wish II had more time.

Warning: Spoilers
The Bruce Dern character is so absurd yet I can't help but laugh at Frank.

Glad we're nearing the end, just hope it doesn't underwhelm. Billy surviving the push was just absurd.

Warning: Spoilers
Someone pushes him off a roof at full force. Miraculously manages to hold on to iron bars with both hands while descending at full speed, without tearing up muscles or breaking bones.

I like this season much better than 3 but this was a low point of this season.

Been there, done that

Dark in each and every single scene, check. Billy sleepwalking through the episode, check.

That's it. Nothing happened that couldn't have been shown in ten minutes. It's a relief that this is the last series, I'm actually surprised this series lasted so long considering the sharp fall in quality.

After a slow start and relentless darkness (what's the matter with this show and good lighting?) we've reach the point where George Zax is non-surprisingly the arch-villain (guess what? Older white man bad, what are the chances?), his brother Frank is a deranged man and the Oriental niece is a scared whistleblower - but still a good person.

Billy is behaving in a stupid way, Brittany is hanging around his apartment in full sight of whomever may be interested and Sam is still a bad person. Yawn...

The Pharmy Season Is A Sleeping Pill
TheFearmakers24 September 2021
The reason any beloved show or movie is protected from anyone being negative is the same reason its beloved in the first place.

And in that, this review will have ZERO likes but it must be said that more than halfway through the final season, nothing has happened.

No suspense. No worthy characters. Even Patti is lackluster and not the scene-stealer we've relied on.

Like they say about comic books and Bond movies... the hero's only as good as the villain...

And while the Oscar-winning Whiplash heavy's heavy JK Simmons is the perfect choice on paper, he's not very interesting and his character's overall villainy has to be relied upon by the other characters (friends and enemies alike) so there's nothing to sell this season on the good or bad side.
