E! Mysteries & Scandals: Louise Brooks (1998)
Barry Paris (biographer), Frank Thompson (film historian), Roger Ebert and Hugh Hefner are interviewed about the troubled life of Louise Brooks, the actress who would make a name for herself in Hollywood but quickly be pushed out.
Louise Brooks made quite a splash in Hollywood but her attitude towards the big bosses also got her pretty much kicked out, which led to several mysterious years where rumors of what she did to survive still continue to this day. This episode takes a look at her early troubled life and how it just seemed like every break she caught was followed by something negative. The historians do a very good job talking about her history and both Ebert and Hefner discuss her films. If you're a fan of Brooks then you already know the various troubles she got into before she got back into the public eye.
