- The film version of the 1985 super show is a monumental tableau of the great turning points in Hungarian history, performed by the most popular pop singers and actors, as well as several well-known folk dance ensembles.
- This is a music and dance film about the Hungarian history from the conquest till 1945. The public dress rehearsal of the open air performance held on 31 Mar 1985, then shown on 1, 2 and 4 Apr 1985, location: Hosok tere, Budapest. Klari Katona performed a song called 'Majalis', music by Mate Victor and lyrics by Miklos Radnoti. Première in the cinemas on 13 Mar 1986. Mihaly Vorosmarty wrote a patriotic poem called 'Szozat' and it became the 2nd anthem of Hungary. One of the 2 lines of the refrain: 'Itt elned, halnod kell' ('You must live, you must die here'). This movie has everything for a cinematic success. The rock-sounding music composed for the festive occasion, the pictorial version recorded with video technology. The grand master of mass movement and dance was Ferenc Novák. István Nemeskurty selected literary details - excerpts from the poems of Ady, Arany, Berzsenyi, Csokonai, Janus Pannonius, Andor Gabor, Jozsef Attila, Petofi, Radnoti, Arpad Toth, clever and apt sentences of Mihaly Szechenyi, Kossuth, Karolyi - interpreted by famous actors. Famous rockers (Gyula Vikidal, Gyula "Bill" Deak, Fero Nagy) and the stars of Hungarian pop music (Zoran, Klari Katona, etc.) excel in the magnificent solos of the historical game. The director of the musical historical play, Gabor Koltay, was also disappointed in the media. He also believed that the material would be capable of more. Unbelievably, he would not have undertaken to film it. Because there is no doubt: the movie caused the disappointment, not the historical game. A 62-page booklet released in 1985, the audio released as 2xLP on 14 Oct 1985 (SLPM 14025, 14026), VHS released in 1986, CD released on 9 Feb 2000 (HCD 71011).
