Bang
Scarecrow-8810 September 2011
Warning: Spoilers
250 K is found on the boat where Hunter Jennings was shot in the face by a rigged shotgun and it plays a major role in the death of one of Henry's unfortunate groomsmen (there's a gun in the bag as well, which goes off due to an accidental impulse). Sully (Matt Barr) and the other groomsmen take Henry (Christopher Gorham) fishing as part of his "bachelor day", finding Hunter's boat, his body inside along with a bag full of money (the 250 K); Henry's desperate and broke pal, Malcolm (Chris Gauthier) intentionally hops in the boat, takes the bag, and plugs a hole in it so he can confiscate the cash. This money will bring along unneeded complications which are certain to cause disruption to Henry and Trish's wedding. This episode, "Bang", features the bachelor and bachelorette parties for the future (we think) groom and bride. It seems as if Lucy's character (she was burned alive two episodes previous to this one) has totally been forgotten because no one has even asked about her whereabouts. Anyway, Trish caught her brother-in-law, Richard (David Lewis) fooling around with her stepmom, Katherine (Claudette Mink) during one of their kinky episodes much to her devastation; Henry confronts Richard and he doesn't even care! I haven't mentioned her in any of my other user comments, but Richard and his wife Shea (Gina Holden) have a weird little girl named Madison (Cassandra Sawtell) who could have a gift of second sight or something as she seems to sense disturbing feelings, some of her warnings perhaps have credence to them. A fortuneteller purchased for the bachelorette party warns Abby (Elaine Cassidy) to get off the island because someone will not stop until he kills her (the fortuneteller also has a moment with Madison, noticing that this girl might have a way to see as she does). This episode seems to further establish the romance rekindled between Abby and former flame Jimmy (CJ Thomason) as, from the very beginning, that sexual tension has always been present when they are together. Sure Abby is distant because to love Jimmy again would mean having to stay on Harper's Island permanently. The killer, for this episode, stays dormant, but you just have to figure he or she is taking a break..someone turned on the cover while Trish was swimming, who was responsible? A fascinating sequence of events, as foretold to her by the fortuneteller (in turn, giving credence to this psychic), has Richard actually saving Trish from certain drowning! The 250 K has Henry and his boys nervous and on edge, believing it could potentially be drug money (two bouncers for the stripper hired for the bachelor party are mistaken by Sully as possible drug dealers scaring the group out of their wits). Henry doesn't know that the boat with the money had the body of Hunter, now sunk in the ocean. Sheesh, what else could go wrong during this wedding week?!?! Oh, I imagine there's plenty more to come, a monkey wrench in the form of a psychopath who is only getting started.
