Dominion Voting Systems has filed defamation lawsuits against Newsmax, One America News Network and former Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne over the advancement of conspiracy theories that company had a role in rigging the results of the 2020 presidential election.
Each lawsuit seeks more than $1.6 billion in damages.
The Newsmax lawsuit was filed in the Superior Court of Delaware, and the claims against One America parent Herring Networks and Byrne were filed in U.S. District Court in the District of Columbia. Also named in the One America complaint were owners Robert Herring and Charles Herring and One America personalities Chanel Rion and Christina Bobb.
“During and after the November 2020 election, Oan saw a business opportunity,” the company said in the Oan complaint (read it here). “Spurred by a quest for profits and viewers, Oan — a competitor to media giant Fox — engaged in a race to the bottom with Fox and other...

Nine Razzie Awards winners were “honored” today for their work in motion pictures. Sia’s controversial autism-themed musical Music took home three trophies, with “My Pillow Guy” Mike Lindell’s documentary Absolute Proof garnering two wins, including Worst Picture.
The Golden Raspberry Awards honors the worst of cinematic under-achievements. The statuette itself is a golf ball-sized raspberry atop a mangled Super 8 mm film reel spray-painted gold.
Sylvester Stallone is the most-awarded actor with 10 awards, with Madonna holding the most-awarded actress honors with 9 awards.
Borat Subsequent Moviefilm was victorious in two categories – Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Screen Combo – thanks to former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani cameo.
Music also saw Sia win the coveted Worst Director honors, with Worst Actress being taken home by Kate Hudson and Worst Supporting Actress going to Maddie Ziegler.
Absolute Proof won the Razzies’ lowest honor, Worst Film, and Worst Actor went to Mike Lindell.

As Hollywood gears up to celebrate the best in film at this Sunday’s Oscars, another awards show — The Razzies — is honoring the worst.
Sia’s feature directorial debut, “Music,” which drew backlash for its portrayal of people with autism, was the big winner — or shall we say, loser — of the night. The film, which earned two Golden Globe nominations, picked up the awards for worst actress (Kate Hudson), worst supporting actress (Maddie Ziegler) and worst director (Sia).
Mike Lindell’s election fraud film “Absolute Proof” and Rudy Giuliani’s performance in “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm” followed with two wins each. “Absolute Proof” took home the awards for worst picture and worst actor for Lindell’s appearance in the documentary. Giuliani won worst supporting actor for his featured role in “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm,” and also took home the award for worst screen combo for his apparent handling of his pants zipper...

As is tradition, the Golden Raspberry Awards announced its winners on the eve of the Oscars. The Razzies, now in their 41st year, are a tongue-in-cheek ceremony that “honor” the worst films of the year. Scroll down for the full list of winners (and nominees) in all nine Razzie Awards categories ranging from Worst Picture to Worst Remake, Rip-Off, or Sequel.
Leading the 2021 Razzie Awards winners list is “Music,” Sia‘s ill-conceived film about the relationship between an autistic girl (Maddie Ziegler) and her newly sober half-sister (Kate Hudson). Sia won Worst Director while Ziegler, who is not autistic, and Hudson were singled out for acting dishonors.
“Music,” which was filmed in 2017, had been a surprise contender at the Golden Globes, earning bids for Best Musical/Comedy and for leading lady Hudson. Among those that Ziegler faced off against was Glenn Close for “Hillbilly Elegy,” who is also in contention at Sunday’s Oscars.

Rudy Giuliani wins Worst Supporting Actor for “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm,” Sia’s “Music” snags three awards
Here’s a vote that actually went Mike Lindell’s way — the MyPillow CEO has topped this year’s Razzies by winning Worst Actor and Worst Picture.
Lindell and his voter-fraud-pushing film “Absolute Proof” beat out a field that included “Dolittle” with Robert Downey Jr., “Fantasy Island” and Sia’s “Music” for the title of the worst movie of the year at this year’s Golden Raspberry Awards (aka the Razzies).
Lindell also won the title of Worst Actor for portraying himself in his conspiratorial film that pushed false and debunked claims that the 2020 election was rigged and flipped against Donald Trump. The Razzies voting body in a release called “Absolute Proof” a “faux documentary” and a “two-hour, fake news snooze-fest.”
Lindell wasn’t the only GOP figure who got dinged for some of...

It looks like bad news for “Music,” which is the front-runner to win Worst Picture, Worst Director (Sia), Worst Actress (Kate Hudson), and Worst Supporting Actress (Maddie Ziegler). The film was criticized early on when singer-songwriter Sia cast Ziegler in the title role as an autistic girl instead of an autistic actor. It found itself back in the media’s crosshairs after the Golden Globes surprisingly nominated it for Best Film Comedy/Musical and Best Actress (Hudson). Then reviewers panned the film for depicting autism in harmful,...
