Batman: The Brave and the Bold (TV Series)
Trials of the Demon! (2009)
Jim Piddock: Dr. Watson
Quotes
-
[Batman appears in front of Holmes and Watson]
Dr. Watson : A demon!
Sherlock Holmes : He's a hero, it's obvious by the bright blue and yellow in his costume. The mask means he must be well-known, perhaps a wealthy entrepreneur with ample free time. Square jaw indicates strong lineage, perhaps a doctor's son. And the bat motif, most surely inspired by some childhood trauma. The Masked Bat, perhaps?
Batman : Actually, it's Batman.
-
Dr. Watson : [after someone says that even a blind man could see that Jason Blood is a witch] Evidence does seem heavily stacked against Blood.
Sherlock Holmes : What did I tell you about being an imbecile?
Dr. Watson : To... stop?
Sherlock Holmes : Precisely.
-
Jason Blood : And what of Craddock?
Dr. Watson : I daresay he won't be causing any more trouble for humanity. The jury will make sure of that.
Gentleman Ghost : [rising from his grave] No matter how many centuries I have to wait to face you, Batman... I will find you again, and I will have my revenge!
-
Dr. Watson : But, Holmes, are you certain it's not that Moriarty fellow?
Sherlock Holmes : Stop being an imbecile, Watson. Moriarty's weapon of choice is a unique air rifle assembled by a blind German mechanic. I fear they may be supernatural.
Dr. Watson : [hearing a woman scream and arriving on the scene] She's alive, but looks as though she's under some sort of spell.
Sherlock Holmes : Just like the others. Did any of you see the attacker?
[a witness professes the belief it was Jason Blood]
Sherlock Holmes : I'll thank you to leave the detective work to me, sir.
-
Sherlock Holmes : Jason Blood has been accused of crimes he did not commit and summoned you to his aid.
Batman : Jason Blood? Where is he?
Dr. Watson : In a spot of trouble, I'd say.
-
Batman : The man in the carriage is Jim Craddock. In my time, he's a criminal named Gentleman Ghost.
Sherlock Holmes : Gentleman Jim, the notorious highwayman.
Batman : What I saw Craddock do with that powder horn was no mere robbery.
Jason Blood : [looking at one of the victims] On the contary, it was indeed robbery. The worst kind. In my library, we can search for reference on the horn you saw.
Batman : Watson, have your police force clear the streets. No one travels alone, understand?
[Watson salutes, and as Batman and Blood leave, Holmes turns to do so, as well]
Dr. Watson : Holmes, wait. You mustn't go off alone.
Sherlock Holmes : My dear Watson, if I'm to solve the case before this Batman, that's exactly what I must do.
-
Jason Blood : Is this what you saw? Wagner's horn. It is just as I feared. Asteroth. Etrigan and Merlin imprisoned him in the underworld three centuries ago.
Batman : "When 10:00 she strikes, I'll never sleep again." Craddock struck a deal with this demon to become immortal, or never sleep, in exchange for ten souls.
Jason Blood : With the strength of the souls, Asteroth could break free from his prison.
Batman : And if he only needs one more, we'd better hurry.
Dr. Watson : That won't be necessary, Batman.
Batman : You found him?
Dr. Watson : Well, not I, sir. The great Sherlock Holmes located the fiend's hideaway at the old windmill and is on his way there to apprehend him presently.
