After the attack at the meeting, Ryan shows Georgie the revealing gash in his left forearm. When Ryan returns home afterwards, he flexes and clutches at his right arm as if it is the injured arm.
As the aliens first arrive an F-16 is seen crashing (the pilot having bailed out). After the crash the word "NAVY" can be seen on part of the fuselage as it tumbles by. However, the Air Force is the primary user of F-16s, while the Navy only flies F-16's at Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center where it trains pilots for warfare, so it's unlikely that a Navy F-16 would be used as shown.
When Erica calls Tyler, he answers it on his iPhone (which is recognizable right there by its trademarked "slide to answer" an other unique details, and is shown in other episodes too), and when he holds it to his ear as he speaks, the screen remains on. In reality, the iPhone's built-in proximity sensor turns off the screen during a call when it's held to the ear to prevent accidental inputs from the face to the touch screen. His iPhone that has been shown in all three episodes so far is real, it's just that call is fake.
In the opening scenes, before the spaceships have been sighted, various characters experience tremors. They all look up. The normal reaction would be to assume that it was an earthquake and look around or down.
